That pipe held 400 PSI when it broke...the resulting outgassing is what made the debris...it did not ignite instantly either.

I don't know about a meteor but was taking pics from my deck afterwards, and spotted a UFO in one of them. I live in SB.

That could easily be explained by a huge fire ball, now the guy looking in the car and then driving off that was interesting. There were a few threads reporting an aircraft going down there, quickly dismissed and then the gas line explosion. On one of the threads someone posted that they saw or heard somewhere that a witness said that there was a streak of fire in the sky then the explosion... I guess we won't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have a big EQ somewhere and hail and fire rain down. Who knows maybe our planet might pass through the tail of a comet or something... doomtards salivate at the the thought. It must be a sign of how miserable the times are that so many people come on here and nearly pray for destruction, if the law of attraction works, than who knows doom may come shortly...

There was no streak in the sky. I have pictures from right afterwards from an elevated view, no streak. No plane. There is a UFO in one picture though.

Re: San Bruno Smoking Gun! Meteor or Asteroid?
The September Perseids meteor shower is not to be confused with the stronger event that happened in August. Last year this meteor shower had decent outbursts, but this can’t be anticipated for this year. Meteor showers are very erratic so the best way to find out how lively they are is to observe. The September Perseids overlap the δ-Aurigids and are generally seen in the same area because the shower’s radiants are so close to each other.

This shower will peak on September 9

I can even tell you the name of that store and gas station, lunardis and econo gas. I took fix from my backyard within 10 seconds of the explosion. In one of the pictures there is a black disc shaped object flying across the scene.

God love the mentally ill. Huge explosion and resulting concussion look exactly as one would expect, and yet crazies see what they want to see. Weird.

Re: San Bruno Smoking Gun! Meteor or Asteroid?
I did not see debris coming up from the ground and raining down. But if there was a meteor that hit, it could have exploded the gas line.

However, witnesses who lived near the explosion have said they smelled a strong oder of natural gas for a week before the explosion and reported it to the gas company to no avail. It is important that everyone know that if the gas company does not handle a suspected leak correctly, you can call the local fire department and they will come out and they will make sure it gets repaired. Gas leaks have to be fixed and fast.

Re: San Bruno Smoking Gun! Meteor or Asteroid?
Now that is a cool pic and it is backed up with video.

[link to www.ktvu.com]

Everyone else starts it as the explosion starts and stays away from the left angle of the footage.

This one shows.

9-10 seconds - flash on left hand to hard left (Possible Meteor), incoming line of white.

11-14 - Debris

14 - 15 - explosion

40 seconds- object ejects

*********************

You got the shot, that is amazing. The object should have landed by now but your photo shows the object still moving at a farther space than any debris did in the initial explosion..

5 Star for you, and a bump
