Quoting: CaptainZeroThey had a weatherman on that said: Although a lot of people are predicting snow for NY on Monday, I am quite sure the storm will go out to sea and miss us except for a light dusting on eastern Long Island. My father and I looked at each other and said at the same time - we better get some gas for the snowblower there will probably be a blizzard on Monday. SURE AS SHIT - We are getting a blizzard on Monday here in NY. I don't understand how they can put a guy on TV who is so consistently and so badly wrong about the weather. They should fire him and get the kid from California who says EARTHQUAKES WILL KNOCK DOWN THE TELEPHONE POLES! lol The weather forecasting world has become a complete follow that latest computer model proposition. no more real skill. all the models with the exception of one, or two (like the euro model) were pointing to an out to sea scenario on Thursday. So these forecasters have either predicted 10 of the last 3 storms, or have missed them. just goes to show how nature can outwit the most powerful of computers and computer programs. too many variables. always best to be prepared, because the experts aren't so expert after all. |

Wrong, I do not use their models like they do. I use skill. If D.C. does not get hit then my skill would beat the models. This is a good test.
