Animals can not speak up or out for themselves, they need us to do it for them. And while the elderly do not always carry as much wieght as they should, opinion wise, they at least can speak up for themselves. I do not disagree with you in regards to old people. If we spent just a fraction of the money we spend on weapons and killing people, on education and humane endeavors, we could resolve both of these issues today.

I believe all living creatures should be treated humanely. I was horrified when I read about the pigs because they're very intelligent and sensitive, and they must have suffered terrible deaths.
