Why does everybody freak out over pigs in S. Korea,

I'm so sorry to fell lead to say such things, however you, are an idoit, what you've JUST stated IS the 'level of humanity.'

To see that animals ARE the level of THIS 'humanity.'

When 'humanity' cannot take C A R E of what it's given, it will Never understand itself. Never.

If you cannot properly care for your charges, why have kids?

Where did you come up with your VERY strange conclusions? I don't know anybody who's freaking over pigs and certainly don't know anyone who wants to euthanize old people. Being an old person myself, I would certainly take notice of that.

And who decided that animals were less important than us? They live here too. They are earthlings with universal right to life and existence.

I'm not saying that a human life is worth less than a Pigs, just that the way they were killed was absolutely disgraceful.

Euthanising old people with their consent is infinately preferable to buring millions of pigs alive.

I do agree with your point, OP, that human life is worth less and less to most people though.

People are spewing pure hatred about the boomers.

Animal cruelty is wrong. What has happened to the pigs is wrong. I don't condone the SKs actions. I feel terrible about what happened. All I am saying is our society puts the welfare of animals above the welfare of other human beings and I find that strange and disturbing.

I just wanted to find out if others were seeing this, too and what they thought about it.

Had the pigs been euthanized, this would have never made then news, as it would have been proper to do so.

You are comparing being euthenized to being buried alive.

The two are simply not comparable.

I see the point you are making. Perhaps I should have worded my title differently. But, you have to admit many of the responses I have received DO place animal rights over those of humans. This is more of the line of thinking I was interested in, not just what happened with the pigs.

I wanted to see how many thought pigs were more worthy of our defense than people. I guess I should have worded it this way, rather than use "euthanasia".
