Weather is erratic and you see how crops are being taken out worldwide, in first one location, then another. The time will come when you can't even get anything in the grocery store. It is time for people to learn to grow more of their stuff. You can grow sprouts in a jar, even sunflower seeds in a bit of sand and keep it damp, in a window with a little sun. Gives you something fresh when you don't have money to buy or cannot obtain veggies. |

KimmieAnnaJones (OP) User ID: 1081511 United States 02/09/2011 09:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Our stupid ass local grocery store will NOT accept coupons printed off the internet. Which top chain grocery stores do? I will have to do some traveling. :p Lowes food, Food Lion, Kroger, Harries Teeter, Walmart, Target and many other do. It is best to go to the website and print the coupon policy before getting to the store to back you up. Most stores will accept IP coupons as long as they will scan. But, most stores limit 2 internet coupons per transaction, some 4. KimmieAnnaJones (OP) User ID: 1081511 United States 02/13/2011 09:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here is the deal: Chef Boyardee Looks like they will come out to be $.45/can with the $.35/3, not too shabby. I will be doing 20 x $.35/3 so 60 cans for $27.00 - the additional $3 off cats x 6 = $18.00 $27.00- $18.00 = $9.00 , so really about $0.15/can! ( If my math is correct this am, and these cats roll) The deal is you buy 10 participating items in the sale, you get $3.00 off now and a register coupon that prints $3.00 off for your next purchase. If you are able to "roll" these coupons, the cans come out to $.15/can with the $.35/3 coupon doubled. ( This will only work if your store doubles coupons) "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." - I AM Vote for people that have a track record for loving your Constitution or lose your country forever!!! Ableshoppers dot com is even more stripped down and the site that first introduced me to deal aggregation sites. Far and away the most aggressive dealshoppers were at Fatwallet and then I found their finance forums where people were taking those free advances the credit cards used to offer and earning interest on it. They additionally talked about how to up your credit score and other tricks. Unfortunately the forum layout makes for more time spent on finding ways to make/save money than the two sites listed above.... |

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine introduced me to using coupons while items are on sale. I have never used coupons because I always thought that if you bought more than one item, let say a box of cereal, I thought that you could only use one coupon. The truth is that you can use a coupon for EVERY item you purchase! She gave me a list of websites to visit that matched coupons to current sales. Come to find out when you do this, you can get A LOT of items for FREE! I cannot tell you how amazed I was after learning this! For instance, yesterday I made a trip to my local Harris Teeter which is having a super doubles coupon sale. This means they will double coupons up to $1.98 in value. This means if you have a coupon for $1.00 off, it doubles to $2.00 off. If you have a coupon that is $1.50 off, well then it is $3.00 off! I purchased about $220.00 worth of groceries for $42.00 with most of that being tax.
