When Cars Were Classic!

How come nobody has mentioned the Sinclair C5?

Gotta love wire wheels.

My first ever car was a Vauxhall Viva. Later I went through several, including, in no particular order...a Rover 2000, a Robin Reliant, a Sierra, An Austin Allegro (which had a reputation for the back wheels falling off), a Mini, another posh Rover STI or something, a Morris Marina...and many others, which I forget the name of.

Point is, we Brits were never as big or as grand where cars are concerned as much as you Americans, but all my cars were considered 'classic' by me at the time. I loved them all. Now, I couldn't really give a toss about cars or driving, to be honest.

But I find that I am captivated sometimes by the idea of owning a classic car as mentioned in certain pop songs, such as a Buick 6 (Bob Dylan) or a Studebaker (Bryan Ferry).

Guess I'm just shallow, after all. Greased lightening doesn't turn me on, though.

MGA coupe looks pretty similar in profile but its rare because most coupes went racing.
