So far this morning the seismo at Bayou Corne has not updated.

It has to be the methane moving.
And, have you noticed how quiet it is in the rest of the world today? Just a couple over 4.

Awful quiet. Makes me jumpy.

I went back and counted 12 hour periods for the past 7 days. The lowest M3+ count for a 12 hour period is 8. The highest is 23.

The last 12 hours = 0.

I think this is VERY strange and ominous

I'm in agreement buddy,do not like it when it goes dormant like that. Pressure needs to be released on an even flow, big buildup when it stops.

This is dealing with the sinkhole incident and I have been reluctant to post this info, until I had appropriate feedback from family!

This is going to be a game changer. My brother in law is a geological engineer and manages a massive quarry plus coal line drill site. He says there's no way to fix this, nothing known to him or industry standards that can be done. I've asked him if theres tech, above and beyond todays standards out there. He says maybe in some fields, but nothing that he can believe to make a difference in these problems. He says this would have been detected months ago when it could have been prevented, extreme negligence or planned event. He said that anyone within a hundred miles should leave immediately. This could turn out to be one of the worst events in American history!
 Quoting: shadasonic

For my friends here, he works at Smith quarries in Louisiana , MO. and has been there for over 28 years, and has an affiliated job that I'm not allowed to post. Just wanted to make this valid for those I trust!

Take piezoelectric currents and seismic shear potential and add massive amounts of methane to that equation, not a good outcome. This has so many potential problems!

Good Morning TinyTrink and all!

Nice to see the EQ count is closer to normal (a little high) than it was last night.

[link to earthquake.usgs.gov]

On this site I set the age to 0.0 to .5 days (12 hours) and the magnitude size to 3.0 to 10.

The average is about 13 EQ. The range is typically from 8 to 23 during any 12 hour period. Right now it is at 21 so it is on the high side with alot of activity. This is a good interactive link that I use alot.
