I noticed that too Whiteangel... i dont like it when they are that deep..

And the vanuatu one earlier was a good depth as well Whiteangel... crap that trench had better not go.. that would totally ruin my holiday on the gold coast..

I forgot the guys name that was all the rage a couple weeks ago, that was predicting earthquakes based on planetary alignments.

For my own curiosity I noted the dates he had predicted and here are the results since the 7th of November.

His prediction underlined, and resulting dated in bold

November 7-8: possible 7 plus ~ 7.4 2012 11 07 163546.87 13.98 -91.88 24

I was just checking the iris earthquake monitor and it shows a 5.6 in Oklahoma and a 5.4 in Virgin Islands

then I checked USGS and they show the OK at 3.0 and none for the VI

Anyone know why? or which site is more realiable?

I have been here [lurking] watching all that has happened, and am just floored. Just a year ago, mag 4 quakes used to excite us all with the occaisonal 5 thrown in. Now we have multiple 6mag quakes in just a week. There is a feeling of something coming, that despite my cheery facade, even the children get glimpses of. In my area since the elections, people seem depressed. Many people can't afford the rapidly rising food prices, and I hear alot of sad stories about that. I live in a very rural area, so I can imagine what is happening in the cities. Seems like 'something' is trying to force this collapse.
