Wow.........the Harold Campers took out a full page ad in USA Today.
So i'm taking a dump at my hotel when i turn to the back of the second page of today's USA Today, and there it is. A full page ad that the world starts ending this Saturday with a 'worldwide' earthquake.

Now i don't believe this May 21st stuff, but the mere fact that an ad like this is taking up a whole page in the USA Today tells me that pieces are being moved by God, and man, to set up the end game.

To me this was a sign....figuratively, and literally.

Another poster put it best when he used the scriptural based saying, "If the blind lead the blind, they both fall into a pit."

If you're a Camping follower, open your eyes, cause you're headed for a pit.

Maybe i'm wrong, but there aren't a whole lot of "End Times" ads in papers very often.
That, coupled with some crazy shit going on all around us, (wolves in sheep's clothing being one), tell me that there's some interesting and trying times ahead.

Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

Obviously, the world won't end. There will be no earthquake, and more people will laugh at the stupidity of religion. The Muslims wait for the return of the Mahdi, the Christians have just as many stupid predictions. It looks like a setup for the religatards to loose crediblity. Hope it works.

So said person doesn't believe in the 'prophecy'?

If said person does believe in this 'prophecy', wouldn't that make them a 'Camper', ie, a follower of Camping?

Re: Wow.........the Harold Campers took out a full page ad in USA Today.
If something does happen, it wont be God. Did he not SPECIFICALLY SAY NO ONE WOULD KNOW? All the sudden he's changing the rules and only letting a crazy man who's been wrong with all his predictions know what's up?

Who or what made him a prophet?

Is there a committee or something for these things? I'd like to be nominated, here's my prediction:

What does he mean by worldwide earthquake? Madrid?

Or is it figuratively, like a bomb starting a war or something? I guess we'll know soon enough. Either way. I would be very interested in keeping tabs on what this lunatic does over the next few days. Also, I want a camera trained on his face allllll day up until midnight, and someone ask him what went wrong hehe. I'm sure he has a retort planned, or some other "calculations" or he'll learn of something coincidental (or planned) that happend that day as well and he will contort to be relevant o his claims. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually kept it up saying God kept him here to save more people before the end for all the rest. Seriously, other than him and his closest followers dissapearing or mass suicide or something stupid, there's not many other ways this can playout. Just look at all the other dumbfucks through history, its like they reincarnated every few years or so just to keep us entertained.

I think he's just akin to a tweaker IMO.

Though it is strange USA today would listen, and he mentions earthquake, with Madrid going on, and all that, transformers all the weird shit, I wouldn't be suprised if something did happen. But it wont be a rapture. It'll be planned. Or extreme coincidence.

Edited for clarity, a lil.

An ad like that couldn't have been cheap! Think of the hungry children this would have fed! Surely God would favor helping the needy with this money as opposed to publishing an ad that, if it turns out to be false, would prove to be a COMPLETE waste of money!

However, if it turns out to be true (won't know until Sunday, I guess) then maybe the ad encouraged someone to repent and seek Jesus as their Savior and, in so doing, be found worthy to escape before His judgement comes. In that case, it would have served a worthwhile purpose. As for me, I am ready! Any day suites me JUST FINE!

Good point. Reminds me of how sick i get when i pass a 'mega-church' that prolly cost millions......all so they could out-do the other mega-church down the road.

imo hold church in a tent, and tithes go to feeding the needy. The real needy, not the welfare vermin obviously.

Where is the pestilence, famine, earthquakes, rumors of wars, two witnesses, the Antichrist? What about the Temple that has to be rebuilt? And the Antichrist inside, declaring himself to be God, which is the 'abomination of desolation'? etc, etc, etc...

All these things have to come to pass before Jesus returns. Camping fits perfectly defined as the biblical false prophet:

"Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruit."
(Matthew 7:15-16)

Camping's failed prediction in 1994 is a very bad fruit. A true prophet is never wrong on his/her prophecy. He was wrong once, and he will be wrong again.
