In case dude is serious and buried in the bible. The church was confronted with this centuries ago by Science. They eventually relented and excepted that space and the sun etc did not do as they believed. They just didn't alter the text.

Buy a telescope with a battery powered clock drive and an equatorial mount. Set it up according to instructions some place far away from city lights on a clear, dark night. Turn on the clock drive and look through the scope. This should teach you enough about space so that you can begin learning just how ignorant you currently are.
