No, minor comets sometimes break up and fade. No one is really

the implications of elenin breaking are seriously worrying,once fully broken the debris field will spread ,slow down, and chances are change course getting tugged towards the sun,late october is set to be a cometary minefield....

Lets just hope it keeps the same velocity and not slow down. Before it was moving ahead of us. If it slows down we could meet at the same time. Then it could be another Shoemaker/Levy 9 event.

Boy timing will be a big issue on this. I don't recall anything in the past happening like this with a comet that has broken apart and is crossing earths orbital plane. I think we will be safe though. I sure the comet will keep it's velocity and the distance that is still between us. The next week and for sure during mid-Sept. we'll know for sure.

to be fair time will tell but just common sense tells me a broken comet will get pulled off course as the suns pull will change a broken comets course also a broken comet will slow down and not maintain it's original velocity .

my friend is talking to fellow astronomers in the southern hemisphere who have a very decent view of elenin at the moment,
but as he's worried think we should all be very worried he has 30 years astronomy experience under his belt.

no the morons who don't seem to understand that Elenin precedes the dwarf star which is still on schedule if not coming much earlier than the sheep are being told.

and even if elenin didn't survive and there's no concrete evidence to prove it won't, you still get to play with the dwarf star either way.

and when this system stops by, it will probably disintegrate most humans on this planet.

If i were you, i'd keep to your preparations.
