Do you think it's rude/disruptive to say "bless you" after a sneeze?

the saying actually comes from the days of the black plague, when people believed that when you sneezed, satan could enter your body through your nose and give you the plague...hence, the "bless you"..

This tradition comes from the middle ages...when people were exceedingly superstitious. They believed that when you sneezed, you were actually expelling a demon from yourself; hence, they would say, "bless you" after you sneezed....

I alwayas say: You're sooooooooo good looking!

WERE exceedingly supersitious? They have gotten worse! I don't tend to use any of these programs things in society anyway.

Say nothing it is the best policy unless you know the person wants to hear it. I hate it when cashiers say have a blessed day.

what about half raising your hand about 2 1/2 fingers of your hand towards somebody and then mumbling tell them "god.. bless you" before you leave?

Who give a crap what people say to others after they sneeze.

I could think of a lot of worse things to say. That teacher was way to strict on his punishment. Wonder what he was thinking, when he decided after all these years. That he now considers it wrong?

Yeah, I believe so also...especially for taking points away for tests.
