Magma spot also detected 4km depth. That minoan eruption was vei 6-7 but this confirm that there have been 60000years ago over 1000km3 eruption so then it is same category than yellowstone. So then we can start to wait information about that new swarm sw from santorini that is it new volcano coming from. Possibility looks growth every day. I hope it is not magma wich one is moving to benath santorini. |

Magma spot also detected 4km depth. 2.4 north west from santorini. Seismographs reacts always if there is quake about 100km radius from santorini. it is quite normal. Santorini itself is quiet. Really quiet. Interesting is that looks like swarm is spreading around santorini about 50km radius and depth about those quakes is same. |

Some time ago it was dead isn't it? |

Magma spot also detected 4km depth. There have only couple earthquakes in last 24hours and those are really small and normal there. No earthquake activity what suprise me because there is lots of activity nearby. Quoting: so-gui-li Starting to remind me of El Heirro (sp?). Perhaps all this magma will vent in the same way - hope so for the locals sake. |

Magma spot also detected 4km depth. Well i think magma moving nearby santorini and best of all would be some kind of little eruption nearby. But i think santroini is started building its magma chamber and there will quite much that magma stuff. I mean there could be huge magma deposit beneath santorini and now it goming up and generates new magma chamber wich one will erupt. There is now quite long time when it last time erupt. Anyway there was good article wich told that even small eruption here can cause that tsunami and collapsing in caldera because it is empty and land is so weak it collapsed and make erution lots of chatastropical that it should be. |

A new study in Nature shows that Santorini may have reactivated roughly a century before the Minoan "super-eruption", a lot quicker than had previously been thought. How is it possible to time this awakening? [link to www.science20.com] |

There is couple things what worries them. 1.looks like magma chamber benath 4km depth nea kaemni growing. 2. magma moving and they think it goes up and down. 3.They dont know exactly how much there is magma. 4. There is some crack in ground in Nea Kameni... 5. Seismic swarm near santorini continue. Here is link it is greek but you can use google translator. [link to pisoapothnkoyrtina.blogspot.com] |

Looks like swarm continue around santorini and there have been couple eruptions also in caldera. |

But santorini is active and i think that plate movemnt came because magma moves and launch that fault line active. |

All quakes are below 2. 50km south west from santorini have been many over 2.0 magnitude quakes last 24hours so swarm continu. Anyway i think nea kameni seismos unrest is from sea or scientist work or wind. It looks little bit scary. [link to www.geophysics.geol.uoa.gr] |

Just looked on RSOE and it's on there as a 3.1mag at 12:47pm, but still not being reported on ANY EQ site I've looked at...... [link to hisz.rsoe.hu] |
