It was a nice day here too today for a walk but I was to busy inside decorating my home for Christmas along with cleaning. Maybe tomorrow after noon before Grey Cup I'll venture out and take some pics to share. Quoting: KateCan Thanks Kate, glad u enjoyed them. It was gorgeous today, a virtual winter picture postcard but slippery as all get out, hence the studded boots. Tomorrow will be a busy one with the Peg in the Greycup. Looking forward to the party. Winter is icy here in the Mitten State. I have Stitched leather boots with a Vibram Sole and Goretex lining, along with some insulation for cold temps. They have also been treated with Nikwax to add extra water resistance. [link to www.youtube.com] |
Madame X (OP) User ID: 1442220 Canada 11/26/2011 06:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's pretty cold where I am, central Tx. FINALLY. I love this weather. Wishing and hoping I can take similar pics sometime this season. We usually get a shot or two at it each winter. Quoting: KonaCoffee The pics are Pretty!!!!!!! Thanks Kona. It's pretty, for the first while. I love the stillness in the air and the snow clinging to the tree branches after the snow falls. Mother Nature is a mighty fine artist. I have the clamp on ones but prefer my built ins. They are housed in rubber and the upper is waterproofed sheepskin for warmth. They swivel around to adjust easily if you want to go into a store or building in them. Best invention for those of us that live in the land of ice and snow. Quoting: Madame X This was after record breaking temps the last few days. Did my shoveling, then set out for my power walk. I made it about 10 steps down the lane when I ended up on my ass, kinda like these people. So, out comes the studded boots. They are boots with steel studs on the bottom on a hand swing hinge so you can reverse them when you head inside. These boots have serious gripping power so no more wipe outs. The links below are pics I took while out enjoying our winter wonderland today.
