"The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration declared a recent rash of seal deaths to be an "unusual mortality event" on Tuesday. More than 60 seals have died and 75 found diseased in Alaska with skin sores and patchy hair loss. The Fish and Wildlife Service has also identified diseased and dead walruses."

"In most cases, necropsies and lab tests have revealed skin lesions, fluid in the lungs, white spots on the liver, and abnormal growths in the brain. Some of the seals and walruses have undersized lymph nodes, possibly a sign of weakened immuned systems."

On top of that...it feels like spring here in Boston today. Right now the temperature outside is about 55 degrees and feels like 60. That is ridiculous. We have had ONE storm, a nor'easter in OCTOBER. I believe that it will stay warm on and off for awhile, and then suddenly without warning we are going to get SLAMMED. I think New England is looking at one of the worst winters for blizzards in a very long time. Food and fuel trucks will probably have difficulty making deliveries and people are going to panic. It's gonna get messy.

Anybody else have thoughts on these subjects.

The lesions on sea mammals have been reported world wide, including the Atlantic arctic regions. I believe it is Solar radiation leaking though a failing magnetosphere and increased UV output from the Sun,personally. I know Fukashima released a large amount of radioactive material into the ocean, but you have to consider the vastness of the ocean and how diluted it would be when it reached Alaska, not enough to cause this I am afraid.

It's similar here in northern California. This is the dryest November & December I can remember, in 30 years living here. It's chilly (40s & 50s) but no a drop of rain or even mist. Just cold and clear every day. Fall is planting season here because of the rainy winter climate, but I've had to break down and start watering things I planted.

This is so scary. We see the animals being effected first. They don't have an escape. They can't avoid eating radiated food, swimming through radiated water, etc. And...it would make sense that the seals would get noticed first simply because they consume such large amounts of radiated foods.

It won't be long, in my opinion, that we end up seeing many more animals effected...of all types and species.

Not too long ago 3 killer whales swam up the Nushagak river in SW Alaska, that had never happened, all the elders thought it was a very bad sign. All 3 ended up banking on the shores and died, one was a pregnant female.

I lived out there till not too long ago, some of us are having health problems including nausea and suspicious blood work results. Also tired all the time.
