At the moment i have a plastic sheet covering my old Alfa, the wind was not strong enough to remove it and the sheet is only taped down. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7789875 United Kingdom 01/04/2012 02:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember when you guys got on here and said our country couldn't take care of New Orleans after Katrina. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8266692 That Katrina storm was a Killer. Lets see how you pussies handle 100mph winds. this isn't a pissing contest, you know? we're all fucked, worldwide. i have a theory. all these volcanic eruptions, this past few years and ongoing right now, have pumped millions and millions of tons of two very potent gases into the atmosphere. Carbon Dioxide, and Sulphur Dioxide C02, being the heavier denser gas, has settled in the lower atmosphere, and is now warming the entire planet, at this LOWER level. Just look at all the threads going on about how mild it is EVERYWHERE, especially in the northern hemisphere. I'm suspecting this might be a result of the Grimsvotn volcanic eruption primarily. Or at least that is the one that tipped us over the c02 limit for keeping us warm in the northern hemisphere anyway. the lower atmosphere is where our weather happens, and the C02 is keeping us warm. Now then, the Sulphur Dioxide, and there has been a fuckload of it from all the eruptions that have thrown stuff into the upper atmosphere, has combined with minuscule water droplets in the UPPER atmosphere to form a veil of Sulphuric Acid droplets, and that is reflecting sunlight, hence all the 'the sun is very bright white' threads. EXACTLY what you'd expect to see if that happened. what THAT is doing is cooling the UPPER atmosphere by reflecting back into space sunlight, which is what is causing the bright white glare I think. so, what do we have? an anomalously cool layer, overlying an anomalously warm layer? so, what do you get? Intense winds, on a huge scale? Sort of like what happens in Tornado alley, but on a FAR larger scale? what are we seeing? Intense winds? the planet is TRYING to correct the imbalance in heat, and it could get VERY ugly imo. in fact it COULD initiate an ice age in my opinion, as more and more warm air gets sucked up into the cool layer through the intense low pressure systems battering us at the moment, could we actually hit a point where the system corrects all at once, and huge masses of ultra cold upper level air descends below the masses of warm air violently blowing around and up into the cold level above? perhaps volcanoes initiate ice ages AND end them? this was a thought that occurred to me today. probably totally wrong, but just putting everything together, the bright sun threads, the warm winter threads, all the volcanoes, etc etc. perhaps THIS is what they know? If I'm right, I'm doomed. a couple more large eruptions, and we might be in a hell of a lot of trouble at least those of us north and south of the tropics, anyway, and that's a LOT of us. |

You should read "not by fire but by ice" and you will find that your theory is not that much different to that of Robert Felix the author, but he also adds in underwater volcanoes, and also postulates the trigger for all of the is the shifting magnetic field. Check out the movement of the magnetic field from 2000 to 2010. |
