These are his words: An ethernet port doesnīt know itīs connected to the internet, your OS does. Keyloggers run through your OS. Plus, the scheme described would be rendered useless if you got a wireless card, then it would assume you never connected to the internet. If I remember right there is a small circuit behind the keyboard connecter. Itīs the keyboard buffer that interprets all the keystrokes and can be found on any laptop, even ones built before Al Gore invented your internets. Itīs not connected to the ethernet port though, but then neither would a keylogger. |
