There is no doubt about it.

In May of 1986, a fleet of UFOs invaded Brazil's airpace, and nearly disrupted commercial air traffic, due to the saturation of the radars.

Military pilots chased the UFOs, and have seen the balls of light.

The only important thing that happened in Brazil in 1986 was the Plano Cruzado, and I don't think the aliens were interested in financial plans to curb hyperinflation...
