yes I don't think the "drill simulating a missile attack" negates anything in the story. Besides, even if it weren't for a drill they would say it was because they'd have to give the people an explanation for seeing the equipment deployed.

The "iron dome" will not protect Israelis from the methods of retaliation that Iranian strategists plan to use IF attacked.

Though the Iranians desperately need religious justification to retaliate, and that can only happen IF Iranian sites are attacked.

The Iron Dome system was designed to intercept short-range rockets like Hamas or Hezbollah have. It can´t intercept by any means a ballistic missile fired from Syria or Iran. It would be like trying to down an aircraft with a slingshot.

well true, but you use everything you can, and if Iron Dome can stop a major missile onslaught on Tel Aviv, which I believe it can, they have time to stall and pinpoint the missile launchers and take them out.

No, but Arrow 3 should be able to do that, if it is up to functioning and thoroughly tested, which I don't know if it is. I know it was being tested last July.

Iran's theocratic leadership, including the Ayatollah want Israel and the west to attack them, they are virtually begging for it now... They cannot unleash their war plans unless they are first the victims of an attack by the "great Satan" (USA) and Israel.

Defenses against missile attacks may offer some security where there is none, but it will be completely ineffective against an Iranian sponsored series of attacks and retaliations.

Israel and the west are being baited by Iran, and it seems they are taking it, hook line and sinker.

Hasn't Iron Dome been deployed since last year? I know this is a sign that they are further preparing their defenses, but hopefully it doesn't mean war with Iran is guaranteed. Maybe I am just trying to remain hopeful...
