Anyone here try valerian root for dreaming?

It had no affect on my dreams...mellatonin is good

Nicotine patch used for ceasing smoking leads to extremely vivid dreams.

I have done that befpore. they are vivid yes but they are very bizarre, almost nightmarish. I too would like to find something that will get me to REM quick with very pleasant dreams.

Suggestions?

I have never tried Valerian, but I have been told it causes nightmares for some reason.

Valerian is ok if you can get past the smell...lol cats LOVE it.

Yes it has worked for me, but not every night. I don't know if you build up a tolerance to it or what.

And they weren't scary dreams just very vivid and I remembered them, which is my problem.

Take 2000mg a night to sleep. Plus a bunch of other crap... Doesn't change my dreams. The only thing that does is stress.

I do have a reoccurring lucid dream. It has nothing to do with anything I take for insomnia. And I've taken it All over the years.

i ain't tried valerian, but get cool dreams from 5-htp.

do a yeast / candida cleanse and take 5 mg of melatonin 30 mins before bedtime.

Valerian puts me into a deeper sleep.
Vitamin B brings the dreams on big time.

Find some Aztec Dream herb. Smoke this everyday. By day 3, you will have pretty lucid dreams.

I grow valerian and make a tea for a friend of mine. 3(or 5 if you find you need it stronger) grams is good for a single dose in tea and you have to be careful not to get too much or you can have side effects and the trippy dreams. I prefer lemon balm in my tea, no freaky dreams and it taste good too.
