Just curious What happens to Religion if Aliens is proven to exist ?

What happens if aliens have a religion? An extremely advanced race scientifically having a well cemented in religion (or more likely functionality in tune with infinite Source/Destination)

This was on the history channel the other night, ongoing alien specials on H2 .. they were debating this question .. although all said the same thing ..

.. all earth religions and even governments will fall apart .. they said if aliens came it would crush all belief systems ..

But I disagree .. I am agnostic but have studied religion .. two that firmly believe in aliens .. Latter day Saints and Jehovah's .. ask them when they come to your door ..

I studied with the Mormons for a while .. they believe there are millions of earths and gods and if you are faithful to your God here .. you will become a God of you own earth .. not that they use it, but showed me specific versus in the Bible of this ..

.. and I know two devout Jehovah's .. they believe when a supposed asteroid comes to earth .. everyone will go mad .. end of the world style, as they wait patiently for their mothership to land and take them home ..

So which religions will crash and why .. was my thought watching the documentaries?

I understand where you are coming from, the current situation does definitely make you feel like that...

The Question for me really comes...?
What makes one Religion sooo different from the other, allowing one to attack if someone makes a joke and the other not? There are hundreds of jokes (funny, dirty, insulting, etc...) out there on about every other Religion.
Not to mention full 2 hour documentaries (also by porn producers and worse) insulting other religions into the ground... But non of them stood up and started bashing around the place...?!

I just feel like saying... STOP freaking out! It's just some dumb movie and if you know what is true to you... Then just stick to that and ignore the rest, unless of course someone is hitting a particular nerve?!

Anyhow... That was my 2p.

PS: I think the other problem there may be is... if your Religion teaches you that you will be rewarded if you kill and sacrifice and suicide yourself in the name of your god... then you would not feel bad about anything your doing... but anyway... just thinking aloud.
