But I realize that is a presumptuous notion. But, if it is the case... What about consuming organically grown food? Other than that I can't comment on it too much. I did do that a week or 2 ago, I did lose some weight, but never really had any sickness or fatigue symptoms (that I recall). eta: You could try a salt-water flush. But only do it in the morning then wait 2 or 3 hours before the 'flush' kicks in. And there's also the lemonade diet, but it really only works if you make a dedication to it. :-/ Last Edited by Gaius_4 on 08/05/2012 04:04 AM |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 3801975 United States 08/05/2012 04:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | hmmm.. losing that much fat in a short time releases a bunch of "toxic fat" toxins into the blood normally called detoxing, which raw food diet will tend to do, can also be applied to fat when losing fat - you are forcing the body to detox out the worst of the toxins it stored away "in-case of emergency" right now... you're body thinks it's the apocalypse if you make it through... you will be much stronger Also, you may have pre-existing conditions, or are simply pushing to hard and need to do the 50/50 thing Most likely a little bit of both |

Quoting: Idgits What do you eat? Eating raw, often lead to unproportionally much fat in the diet. You have to watch for that. |

bannedfornoreason User ID: 7138989 United States 08/05/2012 04:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | best raw food diet protocol IMO is Gabriel Cousen's Spiritual Nutrition program, aka Rainbow Greens Livefood Cuisine. You can search on google for it. Search "phase chart updated rainbow greens live food gabriel cousens". You have to go through 3 phases. First phase is little overt carbs. Only small amounts of berries or grapefruit in a salad base or with greens. Lots of nuts and seeds or other sources of fat. Bean sprouts in moderation. All of the nuts and seeds should be soaked over night and eaten as is, or germinated for 1-2 days longer, or redried after that. As for what to buy organic... well, there is a list of things that realy should be organic. It's recommended to have 1-2 lbs of leafy greens a day to make sure you don't have too much fruit, or nuts/seeds. Sprouts are wholly recommended. Mung beans, adzuki beans, lentils (all sprouted) are done in moderation. But getting a good micro sprout/microgreen sprout mix, or some other sprout mix (non legume) is also really good, if not recommended. I would say the sprouts are essential. You'll see that you might be better off not making recipes and just eating the stuff you have as is. All seeds, nuts, and legumes are to be germinated before being eaten. So on this diet, you stay in each phase for at least 3 months, max 6 months. Then you move to the next level/phase. Last phase is phase 2 (after 1.5). Trust me.. do not pay attention to people telling you that you can't do this because you need meat, etc. Last Edited by bannedfornoreason on 08/05/2012 04:18 AM bannedfornoreason |

bannedfornoreason User ID: 7138989 United States 08/05/2012 04:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the best water filter is probably reverse osmosis w/ UV light and then after that using one or more calcite filters to balance pH. THEN AFTER THAT you'd have to structure the water because the tap water has way too many negative vibes. restructuring can be done with magnets and a blender (trap water, or you can probably soak some germinated grains in there until the water starts to bubble. bannedfornoreason |

bannedfornoreason User ID: 7138989 United States 08/05/2012 04:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is a problem with fruits, and veggies. This is why sprouts and germinated foods should be included in the diet to make up for any deficiencies. Fruits are depleted of many nutrients these days, and most people simply cannot handle so much fruit, especailly coming from a SAD diet. (standard american diet). OR even of any cooked food, meat centered diet. That's why, anyone starting a raw food diet must properly enter it, and thats why I recommend Gabriel Cousen's 3 phase plan. Sure, if you want faster but HEAVIER and more intense detox symptoms, you can have acid fruits and melons, or just a good acid fruit like oranges or grapes for about 40 days straight but this is virtually impossible to do unless you have access to this food. see Dr. Robert Morse on this kind of protocol.. but I don't really even recommend it. Esp. if you have heavy diseases, then you must take herbs along with it. Just won't be enough. As for veggies.. again too nutrient depleted these days due to depleted soil. plus, too mcuh focus on goitrogenic veggies (unless you're eating as much seaweed as the Japs do, I would minimize these) and oxalate rich greens. You also should get hydrogen peroxide to clean your veggies all the time. Be careful about eating any food that is still cold. Eat them at room temperature or slightly warmed either in the sun, or in a dehydrator, or soaked in lukewarm to warm water (as you clean it with h2o2) and then spin-dried. SOunds complicated huh? Lastly, make sur eyou get the proper balance of omega 3s to omega 6s. a 1:1 to 1:4 omega 3 to 6 ratio is best. Sprouted flax, chia, and hemp seeds are the best sources of omega 3s. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9014106 Do about 50% raw for a while, and go from there if you wish. I agree,I think it's too much of a shock to our bodies (and minds) to jump in 100% raw. Take it easy op,take your time and you will (without stress) just naturally want more and more raw and your body organs will 'learn' the new dietary change and de-tox better. I'm not 100% raw and probably never will be,it's winter,I'm liking my nice hot soups! |

The symptoms you described are most likely your body detoxing. Drink lots of clean water too! |
