PETA 'killed more than 95 per cent of adoptable dogs and cats in its care last year'
The report, released by non-profit consumer group, claims that PETA - which is known for its outspoken stance on animal rights - were responsible for the deaths of nearly 2,000 adoptable animals last year alone.

The records also show that the animal-rights organization has killed more than 27,000 animals at its headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia since 1998.

Yep peta is a huge kill shelter they kill more than any other shelter I think, they hardly place any in homes! But they can afford celebrity endorsements. They ought to make fur coats out of the animals and sell them!

You know, this is just BS.

PETA (here in my hometown, Norfolk), had to deal with all the mess left behind by Michael Vick.

Lest ye forget, he left behind dozens of MESSED-UP dogs that were in deplorable shape. Those dogs were dumped on PETA.

They had no choice but to euthanize those animals.

And this is frequently how it goes for PETA. They get the "pets" that come out of the most horrific of circumstances and try to salvage what they can.

PETA has a massive dog park in downtown Norfolk and they offer super low-cost spay/neuter programs to pet owners, no questions asked.

They do a lot of good here in Hampton Roads.

A LOT of good.

You can't really blame PETA. You have to blame all the dumb fucks that don't spay/neuter their animals. Then you can blame all the other dumb fucks who just have to have a "puppy" or "kitten" and nothing else.

Also in their defense, I would rather see an unwanted animal that faces a life in a 4x4 cage with no real interaction is better off being put out of their misery...I will continue to give money to peta, simply because they rescue abused animals and save them from a life OF SHIT!

Since PETAKillsAnimals.com debuted in 2005, people have frequently asked PETA why it kills so many animals. PETA dubiously claims it does not run a "traditional animal shelter" and that it puts down animals that are too sick or injured to carry on.

There are good reasons to believe this claim is inaccurate. In 2007, two PETA employees were tried for animal cruelty and littering in North Carolina after there were caught in a late night stakeout dumping the bodies of dead dogs and cats in a dumpster. Evidence presented during the trial showed that PETA employees killed animals they considered "adorable" and "perfect."

Super solution to the abortion problem, require the mothers to do this. The baby killing would stop. Big concern for dogs and cats, but babies get a pass from the leftest.

PETA is an evil organization. The people in charge of it don't believe in pet ownership and would like to see dogs and cats go extinct.

They have been caught on multiple occasions picking up pets from other shelters, supposedly to find them homes, only to kill them in their van before they even leave the parking lot. These weren't fighting dogs or elderly sick cats, these were adoptable animals that the shelters gave them to give them a better shot at adoption.

Don't any of you guys remember Katrina? People left their beloved pets behind. Some were tied up and drown. People are assholes. You should have to get a licence first to get a pet in the first place. There is a dog or cat for just about every person in the US. If SHTF they will be running amuck eveywhere. Big ones will kill and eat little ones. Unspayed females will get bred and so on. People will be forced to kill thousands of them that are left behind. Abandonded. Owners dead.It will be the animal apocolypse too. They will start to pack up and it won't be pretty. In such a time the humane thing to do would be to put them down. Unless you have truly made provisions for them.
