OT-Just lamenting how I would like to get very drunk on Dec. 23rd, but if the world does not end that day, I'll be too hung over to enjoy Christmas eve.!

Interesting and well done show SinXster!

Take care though to not put too much emphasis on a date as that can be doom overload as you probably know:) Just my opinion....

Yeah. This man's tap water is now flammable, but it has NOTHING to do with the methane bubbling out of the ground around the sinkhole per DEQ. Nah, these are not the methanes you are looking for.

These people really do think we are idiots. Yes, I know that correlation does not equal causation. But when you have methane bubbling up for dozens of miles away from, and inside, a sinkhole, well, we can add.

And this is not 1984. 2+2=5? I don't think so.

Finally they are giving us some sinkhole news and it isn't good.

It has been reported that a large slough in just occurred at the sinkhole site. The size is estimated to be a 20; by 80; section located on the east side of the sinkhole. No additional details are available at this time.

Just saw that. I didn't think we would be getting good news after a week of nothing. I really wonder how much they are not letting out. The faucet water on fire 4 miles away is sort of telling, no?

Re: Don't make ASSUMPTIONS; try to Understand.
So, I have asked this before but I am really wondering now. Back in August, when the sink hole was only the size of one football field, the butane cavern was 1500' away? They have been in the process of moving that butane, as I understand it, with varying reports on how long that may take.
So, before this latest slough in, the sink hole was 5 football fields in size. How close is it now to breaching that butane cavern? Or has it already been breached? How far along are they in moving that butane? I haven't yet had time to look at the latest town meeting info, so maybe it was mentioned in that. Does anyone know?

For anyone interested, go to radioreference.com and you can access communications feeds. Police, fire, EMS, air, rail, marine, amateur radio, and more. There are thousands of feeds streaming live over servers on the net. Assumption Parish is first on the list for Louisiana.
Just thought I would give a heads up for anyone interested. There are also scanner apps available for smartphones so you can listen on the go.

the rising floor could be that it is filling up with dirt and rock from the sinkhole and adjacent debrise
a real analysis of whats in the bottom would be interesting
