Update.

Just want to stress that what should be done now is to prep for the coming war. Gasoline in the fuel tanks at fullwould be helpful. Economy could collapse. Much bad could suddenly come.

The whole media release was staged and is old as I said earlier. Now that the media is on it, we are within two days at most before everything blows up. Damascus no more, that reverberates right now strongly both with myself but with Many others in the loop.

Prayers for all.

Israeli Intelligence Official: Border With Syria Will Soon be “the Hottest Border in Israel”

A senior Israeli intelligence official has told Israel’s Channel 2 that soon the country’s border with Syria will be “the hottest border in Israel,” even more dangerous and active than those shared with Egypt and Gaza. According to the source, as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s holdout against opposition rebel forces appears to slowly be coming to an end, the expectation of attacks against Israel from extremist groups who have been massing weapons along the border will rise.

The main problem is not local rebels but those that come from outside of Syria. Fighters have begun to flow into Syria from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Libya. The source told Channel 2 “it’s important to say that we are talking about very dangerous people with experience fighting the U.S. Army” in Iraq or against the regime in Libya. Today, estimates have it that between 3,000 and 4,000 rebels are readying a fight with Israel, according to Channel 2.

Said the Israeli official: “It really doesn’t matter who controls Syria the day after the regime falls. Every indication is that it is not heading in a positive direction for Israel.”

If you have money, just invest in medical companies that produces atropine !
It will soon be very needed somewhere....

"Even at very low concentrations, sarin can be fatal. Death may follow in one minute after direct ingestion of a lethal dose if antidotes, typically atropine and pralidoxime, are not quickly administered.[4] Atropine, an antagonist to muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, is given to treat the physiological symptoms of poisoning. Since muscular response to acetylcholine is mediated through nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, atropine does not counteract the muscular symptoms. Pralidoxime can regenerate cholinesterases if administered within approximately five hours. Biperiden, a synthetic acetylcholine antagonist, has been suggested as an alternative to atropine due to its better blood–brain barrier penetration and higher efficacy"

Surprise was voiced in some Israeli defense and military quarters, when the prime minister, the defense minister and other key ministers traveled to Europe Wednesday for visits to Prague and Berlin, at a time when Israel’s northern border with Syria might be targeted for a chemical attack.
Although it was only a 48-hour absence - they return Friday - Binyamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak are holding to an outward attitude of coolly controling the situation, in contrast to the Turkish government which has prepared itself for possible attack - and not only with defensive measures. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu remarked Wednesday that the Syrian regime has 700 missiles whose location, storage method and holders are no secret to Ankara. This was a veiled threat to destroy them.

Kedar: Israel 'Knows How to Deal With Syrian Chemical Threat'

[link to www.israelnationalnews.com]
As the Syria raises the stakes over its chemical weapons, an Israeli military intelligence expert says measures are being taken to minimize the threat.

Lt. Col. (res.) Mordechai Kedar, a lecturer at Bar Ilan University and a 25-year veteran of military intelligence says actions are quietly being taken to deal with the potential threat posed by Syria's chemical arsenal.

The U.S. said earlier this week that its intelligence had detected Syrian technicians had mixed precursor chemicals for the deadly nerve gas called sarin. The process took place at two storage sites, according to at least one report, and sources said the chemical may have been loaded into aerial bombs or artillery shells.

If the nerve gas is loaded into aerial bombs, and if the bombs make it on to planes and are fired, what happens if they are intercepted and explode in mid-air either by the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system, or by Patriot missiles?

Kedar told Arutz Sheva in an exclusive interview Thursday afternoon that if the gas is in an aerial bomb, it is “very easy to deal with. The Air Force knows very well how to deal with such things. An aerial bomb is a traditional weapon,” he said, even when it is carrying a payload of sarin. "Missiles are much faster,” he added, “but still they too can be dealt with.”

The aerial chemical weapons threat, however, is one reason Turkey has turned to NATO for assistance, Kedar said. “This is why Turkey is deploying Patriots along the border with Syria,” he pointed out.

If an aerial bomb bearing a payload of sarin explodes in mid-air, Kedar said, “it is much less dangerous than if it blows up on your head. Sarin needs to be within a certain range, and at a certain concentration, in order to be effective.”

Among other effects, sarin causes burns and blindness.

Kedar added that although the U.S.-based NBC News network had reported the nerve gas had been loaded into the bombs, “I do believe that military intelligence organizations know more about what is going on, and take measures to secure things in an appropriate manner.”

The intelligence veteran said that behind the scenes, “things are being done” and that it is “good that professional people are dealing with this. They have all the information and are taking decisions in accordance with the changing situation.”

In response to a fierce warning from the American government, Syria's foreign ministry issued a statement on Monday saying it would not use such weapons against its own people. It was the second statement of its kind to be made in less than six months; Syria had broadcast a similar assurance in July.

However, by nightfall, the Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Jihad al-Makdissi, had fled the country, allegedly first to Beirut and from there to London, where the rest of his family allegedly had preceded him. According to Beirut-based Al-Manar television, linked to the Iranian-backed Hizbullah terrorist organization, Makdissi had been sacked by President Bashar al-Assad for making inaccurate statements that implied – or revealed – the presence of chemical weapons in Syria in the first place.

From what I gathered, there are two factions within the Assad regime. Those that want to use it and those who don't. Seems the ones who don't are being out voted, as it were. Is that an accurate read?

What is happenning in the undercurrent is that Israel does not want the rebels to have chemical weapoons in their hands which should be obvious and likewise will act if Syria takes them from depots.

Wherefore, at any moment, when that storage depot appears likely to fall into enemy hands, it will be blown to smithereans. Israel further, is very silent on all Syrian matters, but I would not be surprised if part of the visiting staff leave or have left quietly back to Israel for the execution of any attack. Israel is quietly ready, they have marked many voodoo and chemical weapons sites and at a moments notice could act if necessary and if the US does not. There si news any action could be joint though, too.

Israel makes the appearance so to be silently complacent with Assad, but one must consider there are secret diplomatic channels between Syria and Israel that are at least keeping Israel quiet and complacent with Assad. I suggest that there was a warning given to Assad that the moment chmeical weapons are moved out of depots, he (Assad) and those sites will be blown away. That has kept Assad from acting so far, but for how long?

In Syria, those factions not willing to use chemical weapons are few and far between and Assad keeps weeding them out.

Nice cheery day ain't it?

1519 GMT: Syria. On Twitter, a reader points out the location of the Baath Party Headquarters in Al Safirah (see previous two updates). As you can see from the map, the Baath HQ is only 2 kilometers from the edge of Assad's base which protects his chemical weapons facilities, and the storage depots are perhaps less than 3.5 kilometers away (click for full-sized image).

The reader notes, however, that there also seems to be a storage depot a little further to the southwest (map). The good news is that this base is further away from where the insurgents appear to already be in position. The bad news is that this base is even more isolated, and may be easier to surround...

Netanyahu, Barak and Gantz abroad 'on state business'

Israel's top leaders are overseas at same time, undeterred by mounting concerns in region
The escalating conflict in Syria and the growing concern that Bashar Assad's army was gearing towards using chemical weapons did not stop three of Israel's top leaders from travelling abroad – all at the same time.
While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak made an official visit to Europe, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz left for a sensitive work visit to "a friendly state" on Monday, Yedioth Ahoronoth reported on Thursday.
Vice Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon is replacing Netanyahu during his absence, while Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter is acting for Barak. Gantz is being replaced by his deputy, Major General Yair Naveh.
