Ethical Implications of the Noosphere on Individual and Social Consciousness
I do not believe the Noosphere/Semiosphere/Biosphere is simply a rise in collective consciousness as many would have you believe. I am of the opinion at this juncture that it is the end result of years of directed and collaborated technological effort.

Much of my reading seems to suggest that this Noosphere is simply measuring statistical deviations of what would otherwise be latent energy which radiates from our bodies. I have an alternate hypothesis that these bio-fields are either the product of electromagnetic energy emanating fro wireless radiation from cellphone towers, HAARP (over the horizon communications), and wireless routers. Furthermore there is reason to suspect that this phenomenon is intrusive in nature.

I'm not one to dismiss something like this out of hand without first considering the ethical ramifications which follow. Under consideration it is clear that much utility could be accomplished with this new technology. A thing can be judged by its fruits right? What are the potential benefits and detriments of such technology?

Pro: Properly implemented the noosphere could make direct democracy a practical possibility. However as Mark Twain pointed out "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." I might add, ask questions, and do your own research before placating your consent in the box. As 2000 shows our votes don't really matter much anyway.

Con: Without proper safeguards against misuse there is potential for grave abuses by nefarious agendas to 'hack' the noosphere, infringe upon personal privacy, and manipulate individual and personal thought & consciousness.

Pro: When applied individually or collectively it may have great utility in the treating of psychiatric disorder.

Con: Could potentially exasperate mental health disorders.

Pro: It will be harder to lie, which is more often than not a good thing.

Con: Potential misuse by predatory marketers to manipulate individual/global consciousness, emotions, and impulses.

Re: Ethical Implications of the Noosphere on Individual and Social Consciousness
Con: Being that the noosphere is by definition a statistical measurement of the collectivize consciousness (which is really just the zeitgeist, or some of the parts), is this something that one can simply opt out of? What implications does this have on ones lawful right to make an informed, conscious, and free decision to participate?

Con: Potential health affects of the wireless energies necessary to make this information 'non-intrusive'', which is yet to be shown.

Con: potential misuse by political, military, and government apparatus. By broad casting ceertain frequencies for example it could bring a sense of false well being for placation, or incite a mob effect.

Case and point: Where is the public discussion about this technological marvel? It is already in place and there is zero public discussion. This is disheartening as it makes one wonder if there are indeed nefarious purposes reserved for this noosphere.

Re: Ethical Implications of the Noosphere on Individual and Social Consciousness
Seems they're ok with people talking about the noosphere, so long as it's described as being something new and emerging that also connects to the cybersphere. This definitely leads to suspicions that it is something tech based for those just now learning about it...
