GLP brainiacs: Help. Question on quantum mechanics.
Read this paragraph.

Quantum physics has now shown us that the person performing
the experiment influences the outcome. In other words, consciousness can change the outcome of an experiment, depending on its belief patterns.

Ok, so I know that experiments at the quantum level have shown that the act of watching something happen can effect the behavior of what is being watched (e.g. I think one study showed the behavior of photons changed when the photons were watched)

But are there any studies substantiating the second sentence? That the beliefs of the viewers influence quantum behavior? I have never heard that before.

The answer to your question is yes & no.
All states exist in equilibrium until the wave function collapses.

This is not one Universe, neither is it a multi-verse. It is Omniverse, where all possibilities exist in all states in infinite Universes simultaneously within the same temporal sphere.

Feel lucky? Overcrowded?

I'm not sure that statement will ultimately hold up. Here is an experiment that disproves one interpretation of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.

There was another paper that seemed to question the observer effect, and bring things closer to common sense with regards to how observation effects the world. Unfortunately I can't find the reference right now.

In the correct state of consciousness, that also is accurate. And steerable, *ahem* allegedly.

Strange that we would all choose to be here right now though huh? Pretty sure my ticket never said 'shithole - one way'!

Assuming this is true, does it mean

a) the ACT of perception alters reality (e.g. a camera and a person watching have the same effect)

b) The nature of the perceiver as he is perceiving alters reality (e.g. a camera would have a different effect than a person or a different person)

People that hang around here can't be all that intelligent. The only people that last around here have to pay or fall in line well.

How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What is this reality you speak of? Can you give me a short explanation of it, or bottled up and easy to examine?

They are looking at the veil too closely and seeing between the fibres into the other side, thinking they can grab it, but their minds only grasp at it with the curtain over their hands, because their insturments are not penetrating the barrier.
