As a result, wholesale prices have jumped nearly 73 cents a gallon over the last week. Experts predict that stations are about to pass on that cost to California drivers this week, and there's nothing drivers can do about it. According to fuel analysts, we could see a jump of 10 to 30 cents a gallon in a matter of days. What's causing this price spike? The problem is low production blamed on several oil refinery outages due to the extreme heat and continuing problems from an oil refinery fire in Northern California this summer. californa doom only! Bet you outa state peeps are lovin it [link to abclocal.go.com] OP, I read another one of your post Thread: Symptoms of demonic influence or attack! (Page 6) and commented. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8988517 Not good. My prayers for you guys! All that energy will have to manifest itself someway...to release pressure so to speak. FFS, so you come on hear saying your prayers are for the people in California because of how bad it's gotten and because of "negative thought energy". Yet you then spew some ambiguous bullshit about the San Andreas going off which would kill millions. Nice thought energy there bucko. |

Just where do they think that all this electricity is coming from? Obama is regulating the coal mines out of existence, and breaching dams which have provided electricity for 100 years. Nuke plants are unreliable (i.e., Fukushima) and there is that pesky radiation to have to deal with for the next 3000 years or so. Solar is years away from being economically feasible. When homes and businesses are experiencing brownouts and blackouts due to overuse of available electricity, how long do you suppose it will be before electric cars will be surrounded by angry mobs who will drag the drivers out and string them up on the nearest (non-working) light pole? In the 1970s the Saudis joined an anti Israel boycott of the West. Since then Saudi royalty has been convinced that money is much more important than the Palestinians. This and future shortages could be attributed to everything from shorting futures contracts, bottlenecks, oil refinery disruptions, sanctions against Iran, underdeveloped oil production, spiking Chinese demand, or Peak oil. |

Cali is being humbled by the very people they have elected.....liberals from top to bottom! Obama has nothing to do with the California situation. California law stipulates that we have our own 'special' blend of gasoline. There were problems with two of the refineries that make that formulation of gas. Since only California refineries make that blend, California cannot simply import gas in from other states. California could bring in raw crude, but it would still face the current refinery bottleneck. |
