First of all...you'e buying gas company issued statements on who gets what. The state is supposed to use that tax on roads, police, safety, etc. That's fine, that's where it should go (even though it probably doesn't which is the real problem). The gas company and the profit you've quoted is total fabrication. A gas station makes about that much...sometimes as high as 20 cents a gallon. However...the gas COMPANY, like Chevron, Mobile, etc., all posted profits in the 100's of billions. You're going to tell me that's not GOOD ENOUGH? Are you going to tell me that's not close to 500%? Here's the deal. The main people getting rich are two groups. The middle eastern families that own the oil and those people that own the gas companies. The families are eating gold they're so rich, and the gas company owners own extreme amounts of property and industry.
