The whole concept of celebrating that horrible person with his own special day, and calling it a 'holy day' is appalling. And how does someone get credit for 'discovering' a place that was already inhabited?

Christopher Columbus' sole purpose wasn't to discover the new land, it was to kill off all of the indeginous people of North America, including what some people believed to be giants. People knew about this continent for thousands of years already, the native Americans were too spiritually evolved and were therefore a threat.

Even if that sounds a bit too far fetched to believe you can't dismiss the obvious, the whites killed and raped millions of innocent human beings. If you're going to celebrate that why don't you celebrate the time Hitler committed genocide in WWII as well.
