NATO has planes ready to defend Turkey certainly feels like the chess pieces are being moved around, that is, the moves we know of.. Britain, France and others are forming up into to train their rapid reaction force tactics in the med, which is a 2 month deployment.. the force that includes multinational strike and amphibious task groups. NATO has planes ready to defend Turkey Turkey has such a huge military, it can move lots of planes many places without signifying a whole lot. Sure, it may be symbolic, and meant to intimidate. But it is not a major movement. I mean, its planes have got to be somewhere at any given moment, so why not move them somewhere that will send a message? Saber rattling.
