Felt a mild rippling shake here in northwestern Vermont.

SOOOOO SCARED! Jumped in bed with hubby, shaking, he's like "woman, go to sleep, I have work in the morning" ....I'm like "we are going to die!!!" ........my eyes are still popped out of my head....sooo scary.

Felt it in Lorraine as well. Scared the bejesus out of me and my Wife. Also thought it was an explosion, caused by an airplane crash or asteroid or something like that. Not a lot of shaking, just increasing tremor/noise ending with a very loud Boom and associated strong shudder.

lol.....that is exactly what my husband said! He's now snoring away and I'm completly awake!!!

Me too! Never felt anything like it. I thought our newly built condo building was collapsing. My Chihuahua is still hiding under the bed shaking, can't get her out. Poor baby.

Are Earthquakes even common there? Twitter is blowing up over this, but nothing on Google news, CNN, etc.

i dont know how bad it was for all of you,i read everyones post,but here in longuieul,qc it was a real loud boom like an explosion it lasted 30 seconds getting louder an louder,also it cracked some windows in our building and broke 4 or 5,it knocked pictures off the wall and moved my bed,i knew it was somthing weird that was gonna happen,my dog and 2 cats started running around antrying to hide like they were being chased.thank you everyone for posting this is important,because i have family in a few of the areas that were reported,can ANYONE TELL ME IF IT HIT HEMMINGTON AND HAVLOC,thank you and have hopefully a quiet rest of the evening,thank you again

That happened to me before also, I was in my truck driving home and when I arrived home family was all a flustered talking bout an earthquake and did ya feel it? and such, Nope I had no clue it had happened. Must of been tires and shocks on the truck absorbed it.
