Jamaica isn't that bad although it is pretty sketchy in a lot of areas. I'd rather go to Jamaica then Liberia or some other African 3rd world country. Where is NK? That has to be #1. I guess it's not listed because no one can go there without an invitation. Ayatollah Khomeini: “Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled and incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world. But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world…. Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill them [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender to the enemy? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for Holy Warriors! There are hundreds of other [Koranic] verses and Hadiths [sayings of the Prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” |

I would travel to NK in a heartbeat if I could, just for the obscurity factor. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25042174 Oh North Korea. I want to go, just to see what the fuck... Only about 200 tourists go there each year. Pretty weird. |

India is nice if you spend some time getting to know it, but in the long run , the crowd the general apathy of the populace to corruption, dirt, and lack of a cohesive unity (brought about by varied multi-culturism-casteism, really brings you down. Me , gimme a nice island little island, some babes, internet and good food, and thats my heaven. |

Hospitality is one of the main and oldest attributes of arabs; long pre-dating Islam. Don't believe what you see on the news. Remember, the news is sensationalism. If they showed normal people (of ANY race or country) doing normal things, no one would watch. So they "SEX" it up with murder, rioting, etc. The average person everywhere is decent and good. Beautiful women, beautiful scenery -- the Atlas Mountains, the Atlantic coast, the casbahs, the oases, Marrakech. The movie set for "Kingdom of Heaven" (2006 movie with Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson, Ghassan Massoud about Jerusalem in the time of the Crusades) is still up outside of Ourzazate, the "Hollywood" of Morocco, because of its scenic desert setting. I'd like to take the Darjeeling Express train and see if I can score with an Indian chick, like Owen Wilson did LOL That sounds like an awesome trip(s) you took there!!! Very cool. It is now! lol) there. Somalia is one of the five top most dangerous places to visit currently. Might even been #1 or #2. Absolute chaos, guns everywhere, instability, warlords. Not good. Thor's Hamster User ID: 1248699 United States 10/10/2012 06:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's a funny thing about the middle east: In some of the countries that are "officially" friendly with the U.S., it's more dangerous to be an American, than in some of the countries that are "officially" NOT friendly with the U.S. For instance, Iran, Syria, Lebanon. Up until a year ago, anyway, were very safe. Whereas Saudi Arabia and Yemen, not so much. Even Jordan. Not that Saudi Arabia and Yemen were NOT safe. But less so than the others. Even though it's not in the middle east, same with Pakistan. If you're an American in Pakistan, you gotta be very careful; especially now (even though we're officially on "good" terms with them). This is what we had done, but we had enough Money for a 6 Month Trip, so we spend a lot of Time just for Relaxing before we started to spend Time for the cultural Heritage! My Advise for India is avoid the Cities in the first Weeks. Spend Money for a Taxi before you are tough enough for the Trains (which are very nice but to get a Ticket is soooooooo difficult) Visit Indiamike.com to be up to date!
