Only the bible gives dates, names and great detail. Seems pretty obvious to me that civilizations carried the stories orally as they dispersed throughout the earth. |

Also don't forget about Leviathan mentioned in the Bible. LMAO, the Bible is one of the earliest texts to clearly reference and "predict" the existence of dinosaurs, but our modern day seculartards think they all discovered it and shit. Again, LMFAO. |
A Friend User ID: 25280132 United States 10/10/2012 04:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are behemoths and dragons in the bible. Why wouldn't Christians believe in dinosaurs? When one can see the bones and fossil records why would Christians discount factual evidence? Despite humanity's failings, including and especially Christians, truth is what is being uncovered. Creationism and dinosaurs are not in opposition to one another. There are a great many scientists who are also Christians. As another poster said, carbon dating has been proven to be false. Why would we be so certain that humans and dinosaurs didn't coexist in some capacity? As time passes science comes closer and closer to realizing God's existence. As much as they would rather be merely an animal who "evolved" from another animal so that they have no one to answer to other than themselves. Evolution is a theory which is more difficult to believe in than the fact that the universe has intelligent design. Those sticks on its head with balls on the top of them. That low rider back end and ape hanger chopper style long neck. That crazy hide pattern is like retro chic. That animal looks like it came from another planet. It may be beautiful no doubt it is even in a very unique look. But it just does not fit in the land scape. Yes I believe there has been many creatures far out and wild on the imagination. Many are here today land and sea has even greater the diversity of abstract creatures. |

The carbon shift in carbon dating is wrong. the speed of light can be used to date the observable universe, which is approximately 17 billion earth years. we could all run faster than light if it was only 5, 000yo. so dating the place at 5,000 years means you assume the speed of light as well as radioactive decay measurements all to be wrong. most christians these days try to wriggle around it, but plainly either christians or everbody else, are making huge miscalculations. |

Lets say everyone else is wrong and Christians are right... that means i've decided to believe in a God and trust that He knew what He was doing when He sent His son down to earth to save our souls... I get to go to heaven for eternity where all tears are gone. Those who reject God and His son's sacrifice for all of us go to hell as the bible tells us. I get a great gift of mercy which I didn't have to earn... I just have to believe. Now, lets suppose I am wrong, there is no heaven, no God and I'll be soon visited by aliens who are either gray or reptilian or any of another type. What have I lost out on by being wrong and living my life the best possible way I could, which would be in service to my fellow man and to walk in love for others instead of hate? Who loses out more? I'd rather live a loving and giving life than a purposeless and rudderless life. I certainly don't want to go to hell if it exists, which is to be absent from God. I'm pretty sure that the bible is supposed to cover about 6000 years. Ok, here's one for you. Hubble recently observed a galaxy 13.5billion years away. That means the light has been traveling for that long and the distance to the starting point is at least that far. For the universe to be 17 billion years old, it would have to have expanded from a dot much faster than the speed of light. I have no explanation other than God but I'd love to hear yours. |

THE TRUTH User ID: 24808382 United States 10/10/2012 04:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually, the vast majority of the "dinosaurs" died off in the great flood 4500 years ago... That is why we find so much fossil evidence! Fossils do not form when an animal dies and falls over; they are formed when they are quickly buried in deep mud and preserved. The fact that we find so many dinosaur fossils is profoundly strong evidence for a mass extinction event that required a world-wide flood. The modern image of "dragons" in movies and novels have evolved from what were very real creatures in antiquity. The 'dragons'/'dinosaurs' that were around after the flood were hunted into extinction, and this is where the very real history of 'dragon hunters' originated. |

I think your basing your question in the theory of the "Big Bang", where everything started at one point and departed from center. If you research "Hubble's Law", you will find that it is just a theory. Dopplar redshift can tell us if the object is coming or going, but the distance equation is in theory only, as it should be due to many different variables that could be at play that we just don't have a clue about. |

And to think, that every disparate civilization, from ancient Jews, to Aztecs, Mayans, Chinese, Indian, European, would go around digging up dinosaur bones and coming to the conclusion they are dinosaurs and create a similar dinosaur/dragon mythology around these supposed discoveries stretches the limit credibility, nooo? |
