Hmmm...interesting take, my little semitic friend. :) That wouldn't surprise me. So many of these famous fairy tales, stories, songs, nursery rhymes, etc. that get passed down through the generations have a deeper meaning to them.

I got interested in the hen that lays the greenish egg while embroidering a guilt of birds. It took me and my mother 1 year to hand embroider that entire quilt. We not only outline stitched it but satin stitched the insides as well. We filled in all flowers birds scrolls and borders. It was king sized. All from scratch piece by piece.

It was given to a church to auction off for money they needed.

Yet I had to see one of those hens I always thought it was just a story and no real green eggs. I enjoyed knowing it was a real hen and green egg.
