ASCENSION PARISH,LA (FOX44) — Imagine going to grab a glass of water only to find out what's brewing inside the cup could burst into flames.

"if i can light the water in my faucet something is wrong," said Napoleonville resident Ronald Pate.

Pate lives four miles away from a giant sinkhole in Bayou Corne. He says ever since the hole formed he's noticed something extra in the water.

"I noticed more bubbles in the water," said Pate. "I mean it wasn't like that before."

Pate's water comes from a private well on his property.

This is a map of the sinkhole that is in all probability a week old if not more. The Assumption Police Jury, which has been shown to be receiving millions of dollars in Federal grants (abnormal for such a small community to receive these amounts), are claiming that this map is current. Regardless, it is growing in width and depth at a very fast rate. This would leave one to assume that the nearby lake may show breaches, and that there are many widening sinkholes pockmarked across the region due to a tremendous flow of salt water underneath in the once dry: chasms. Based on salt content and oil amounts that are being soaked up by the trees, the salt water is from the Gulf of Mexico.

This is scary stuff. Could this be what all of those bullets are for? I really do not get the psychosis behind people paid to type lies when this stuff is meant for you too, especially you.
