Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21147872 can't wait to be clean again. Good luck, I am not going to tell you it is easy. If you have smoked for a long time, and enjoyed as much as I did, It is hard. I am really having trouble keeping my mind off of them. The only thing that seems to work is food, and I don't want to gain weight. I am already starting to bet some belly fat I don't want. Hope you don't have the food cravings like I am having. Good luck. :TOMABANEFOX: It's more humane this way ya know, or burn on totem pole. Choice is yours. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23410679 United States 10/14/2012 07:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To be honest. Staying away from cigarettes by force will not work. I've been on many diet phases that come and go because I forced it but my mind does not want to change. Now my brain knows that a diet is normal and it's easier to stay away from junk food. Unfortunately your mind will want to smoke again. You must. |

Took Chantix for nine days, then said to hell with meds, and going it alone. Haven,t had a Marlboro for over two weeks, how -ever I do get the urge several times a day, but the urge is getting farther apart and easier to get past. Wish me luck. Quoting: Desert Fox You're a better man than me. I went to basic training in 2009, and we weren't allowed to smoke for 6 weeks. So I forcibly had to quit. After that six weeks, I'll tell you, the first thing I did after going on liberty... Albeit, I had no desire to quit at the time. |

I've quit 4 or 5 different times but I have never made it past 3 months. As of now I don't smoke on the weekends or nights when I am around my family. It's hard for me to give up because I find smoking to be extremely relaxing. I completely hear you on that... I am sure you know since you have quit b4, that you can't slip up. Best of luck to you! Oh, look into flavored tooth picks. Also those little disposable Crest or Total tooth brushes/picks also work well. "The Trayvon Martin Case changed the Media forever. It's a little different than smoking. The nic takes a little longer to kick because it's not ignited, it's in a water vapor. The problem with analogs is the ammonia they treat it with causes a freebasing effect of the nic and makes you like a crack head. Also tobacco has MAO-I's which are like antidepressants.
