If food stamp program is closed 'riots will start next day!!!

There are many countries with no food stamp .No riots expected

but what if the next day, the money currently being spent on welfare programs was transferred to infrastructure improvements and the people that just lost "benefits" would be the first in line for the jobs created?

would the riots still happen?

I can't say people will or will not riot, BUT there are food pantry's still open in most places and missions. I, myself have eaten at Salvation Army. No excuse to riot. Donate blood if they pay cash in your area and keep the faith and keep looking..NEVER GIVE UP!

have dried up and are barren.

segment on local TV of a woman who had
been giving to the food bank for the past
20 yrs. This yr she was receiving food
instead of giving. And it's like this

Same in this area.Half the people donating that use to be and double the people needing help.In the past they gave big boxes of stuff to people in need,now its three days worth if they even have that much.

It keeps the grocery stores open,the cashiers,stock people,and managers jobs going,keeps the food companies going because wouldnt be much sold if not for food stamps,produce companies,egg farms,even truckers that deliver the loads.
Lots and lots of jobs gone if people cant afford food.
Total industries will collapse without food stamps

We are in the midst of "the greatest depression." Can't see it because there are no soup lines. Instead, people get FOOD STAMPS. Wake up.

And what are churches doing to relieve the suffering? They're building bigger buildings and more expensive cars. And bitching about poor people.

Of course there will be riots. That's all these people know how to do when things aren't handed to them for no other reason than breathing and breeding.

You don't expect them to try to grow food or work do you? You don't expect them to forgo frozen pizza for dried beans do you?

Not all food stamp recipients are the same and we should recognize that. About half are only short term recipients. They use the program as it was meant to be used. To them it is a stop gap measure to get them by for 3-6 months until they can recover from some adverse event.

It's the other ones that will create the problems. That half that has been on stamps for years and expect to have them until they die...... cuz it dey entitlements mane. Entitlements.

Wont be that way this time around.Wont recover from adverse events that quickly.Nothing left to recover with.Food stamps are here to stay unless it gets so bad they no longer issue them...then it gets worse.

Things are great as long as there is bread and a circus.
