ill go with the dont give a fuck option, i had a breakdown early to day and was talking to my grandparents about it, they said i should stop thinking all about myself and care less about what happens to me, i wonder if there is a better solution. stupid psychosis, i know i must be imagining it but it seems so real that its hard to not think about

i believe psychosis and chronic depression are like the walls breaking down,kinda like the experts at reading body language,it's not allways imagination,but it's a horrible thing to have.

Well, tell us what they're saying, and then tell us about your day and we'll look at it and decide if it's a code or if you're mental.

Okay, one example, I'll speak to them in a way that i feel is out of character, distant, and judgemental, a way i come across when I am in a paranoid mood, and then ill hear them (parents) talking in the kitchen about the food, and say a really obvious question like "is that the casserole" or something (not the best example, its hard to think of one strangely, as they are all so profound at the time), and then i will interpret this as them seeking confirmation with each other about my mindstate and relationship with them, as in what type of person i am or i have begun, i feel like people dont know me and are constantly evaluating me because i am quite inconsistent, unlike how i used to be. ill try to think of some more.

maybe your parents did everything to make you feel special so that you are closer to them. When this is successful, it was too late for you. no way back or even freedom of choice. this is very true

From what you wrote it seems to me that you are very self-absorbed. That everything that happens in the world evolves around you. Like you see yourself from a "3rd person view". Nothing dangerous or crazy about it IMO. But people around you can see you like a total douche if you "act it out". Nothing to worry about.

Edit: Now that i saw your last post, maybe i'm wrong. But it sounds much like it. Not like paranoia, but something in between.

Edit 2: Now i understand. Sounds like that i wrote above (not the first edit). Gonna make a better answer soon. At work and pretty much to do right now.

Yes exactly. It feels like everything does revolve around me. To the point I start believing it. And yes I pretty much am living in 3rd person. Thanks for the advice (alot), how could I return my life to a more sensible and fulfilling 1st person view, as well as become less self absorbed?

i have a bi polar mate who has very similar symptoms,ie,people in public giving him secret special looks that he knows the meaning of,and either high or depressed,the guy who does the show Q.I has it,can't think of his name offhand,but he's genius,clever and funny.

Anyway, if we're just talking about your parents, they may very well have their own little ways of communicating about the kids. And they have a legitimate reason to be worried about you..especially if you're still under their roof.

People sense humans that are radiating freeminded consciousness or openheartedness...
It scares them, cause they often don´t know what it is, or sometimes they project that inner hat about the fact, that they can´t achieve it onto you and yes, they talk about.
Most people often talk about others cause they can´t handle themselves.

You have an intuition, you sense it too.
Get used to it, find a way to handle it.
Find out how you want to handle it and stop the doubting.

It can happen with anyone pretty much, parents were just an example.

I had what you say when i was younger. Not as severe as you, but still. What i did was just to try to ignore everything that happened around me when i started thinking like that. Concentrate at being in the moment. In my case it was bad self esteem that made me think in similar ways. The exact opposite of narsisstic behaviour. But still the same mindset. Actually it was after my chemo i began to work with this problem. I just started not caring what other people said about me and what they said in general. Not exactly the same problem, but the same way to get rid of it.

Hi op. I experienced pretty much the same thing a couple of years ago. It was not fun at times, I couldn't seem to escape it. Didn't matter where I would go there was always messages directed at me...
The radio, tv, family, friends or phone calls from strangers... Debt collectors.
Scared the hell out of me.

I still hear things but no where near as much. I feel like I learned from my experience and in a strange way miss it a little.. Lol
