DEMOCRATIC PARTY is owned by unions. Unions means non oil non elitist corporate interests; hospitals, airlines, public service, etc pretty much everyone except big oil. All need gas prices moderate for their operations. Gas is up now because of republican partisan game playing.... before it was between 3-4 buck throughout the Obama admin.

I dont like it either, but i cant afford 10 dollar gas.

Drilling will do NOTHING to effect the price of gas...it's all about supply and demand which is tied directly to THE REFINING CAPACITY...IE: it does not matter how much of the "Black stuff" you pump, if you can't refine it, what good is it.

Earlier this summer, with almost no media coverage, President Barack Obama quietly locked down tens of billions of barrels of oil and immense reserves of natural gas from development for the next five years.

As the nation was focused on the U.S. Supreme Court’s health care decision, Obama reinstituted a moratorium on offshore oil drilling that shuts down about 85 percent of America’s Outer Continental Shelf from exploration or drilling. Currently, the federal government only allows searching for energy on 2 percent of the OCS.

The Obama decision, which overrides a previous decision by a Democratic Congress and President George W. Bush in 2008, blocks the exploration and development of an estimated 86 billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the OCS.

The July decision is only one of dozens of occasions during the past four years when the Obama administration has stymied, blocked and done almost everything possible to hinder domestic oil, gas and coal energy production.

His actions have reduced America’s energy supplies, cost hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs for U.S. workers and resulted in increased energy costs for American consumers.

Gas prices, which stood at $1.84 per gallon when Obama took office, had climbed to more than double that rate ($3.82) as of Monday, Oct. 8, and he has almost institutionalized $3 to $4 per-gallon gas.

History: Saddam Hussein was dumping crude and selling as much as he could to get as much money as he could as quickly as he could. That's why gas and commodities in general were so cheap and was part on the reason to invade Iraq at that time.

That along with Clinton working with republicans repealing Glass Stegall made money cheap and easy on wall street and lead to this global depression.

How is it possible for the value of gold and silver to rise and not OIL???

Oil can be kept down via manipulative measures in the global theatre as it is a non physical asset in the investment paradigm sense; Gold and silver have a physical market underlying it that limits the amount of manipulation as it has a real consumer access liquid market, imo.
