Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8637692 That would be interesting.. approximately 10% LESS!!!!!! Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22184719 I say "currency destruction" in place of the I word. At the very least it makes people ask what your talking about. Then when you give a short description, they might start WAKING THE FUCK UP! Lets call it what it really is, abject GREED, theres no limit to what they feel is "enough" profit, really sickening Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... I am seriously thinking of buying chickens and slaughtering them myself. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12582603 My family is vegetarian, so no go for me...but honestly, I don't think that's a bad idea at all, esp. if you can find others to go with you on it and share the labor. Eggs for a while and then some chickens to stew. It depends if you can go through with killing the chicken, though...but my great grandmother did it when she was a kid, so.... By the way, if you do eat chicken, I'd recommend learning to make spaetzle (homemade egg noodle/dumpling thingys....you can get a spaetzle maker for like 10 bucks) and making chicken spaetzle soup. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1462016 Canada 10/15/2012 08:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1st thing I noticed, my wife and I have hardly changed anything about our buying and eating habits. Quoting: Wash The 2nd thing I noticed was the crazy incrases we have had in prices. 1 can Campbells Vegetable soup was listed as $0.89 We now pay $2.19 for the same can. Fresh Haddock Fillets were $3.99lb. Now $7.99lb. 4 litres of Skim Milk was $4.59...now $7.59. 1 loaf of whole wheat bread was $.99...now $2.99. Fresh Green Pepper was $1.99lb...now $3.99lb. Canned tomato juice was $0.99 a can...now $2.29 a can. Obviously there was waaaaay more on the recipt, but I just can't believe the inflation. I'm sure many people have had to stop buying items the are used to buying, and change their life styles a great deal. I have not gotten to that point yet, but I'm feeling the pinch. It sucks. Changes are needed. That's actually scary when you consider that your currency has appreciated 66 percent against the dollar since then. I wonder what we actually paid back then I don't have any receipts though. definately lower 100% but your right our dlaar is the same with the greenback now. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 23281770 United States 10/15/2012 09:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I read on a thread some time back about the number of people on EBT may also be rising the prices of food because it is "guaranteed money" in some form and is giving a "bumper" for some producers/manufactures/distributors etc. But price HAS gone UP, package and quantity HAS gone DOWN and quality HAS slipped. 16 or 12 oz. is now 10 or 8 oz. Condensed is now mixed or watered down. Grade A or Choice beef really isn't...steak is not marbled right and chicken and pork have to bathe in fat to be juicy and tender anymore. Veggies and fruits are tough chewy bitter imported things from foreign lands. |
