This way every company has to hire an ncp if the excuse is 'I can't find work'. This eliminates the financial costs to the kids, the state (a worker pays taxes too) and the poor ncp can remain alive. One minimum-wage job leads to wanting more, and they can then get a better job etc. What world are you living in? |

Also, I find it a sad sign that so often people think more laws are the solution to everything. I agree in sadness over more laws - though in this case it is to address the #1 cause of no payments; the 'I can't find work' line. So leave no possible way to allow that to happen by finding them one through the affirmative action laws already on the books. The mistake most make is 'force' usually leads to one of two outcomes - suicide or jail - all because in a terrible economy the thought of 'force' to make someone pay up is inhuman. The laws are there already to destroy so why not one more to build with? If a ncp can not find work and is in arrears they have lost everything already so more 'force' or 'tougher laws' is NOT the answer. Only hateful cp's want those. Anyone working at a minimum wage job will want to make more - duh. Allowing work to even exist for the ncp is a start over when all else has failed. Money does not grow on trees. It is a start. It allows another option than becoming a criminal and hurting others to pay support. The losers who think any ncp works under the table are the ones who are living in an alternate reality. The above suggestion fixes the problem so everyone wins. |

If you never get ahead, you will never better yourself... EVER! Getting ahead means starting somewhere. Since minimum wage is the bottom that is where one starts. With that one should want to make more at another job, which of course means more money for everyone. Now if you love your job at McDonalds so much maybe work to become a Manager?? Anyone who wants to stay at minimum wage forever is the problem - but as long as they are working at it they can avoid the 'tough laws' meant to destroy families. |

I personally know people who make well into a six figure$$$$$$ income but bitch and moan about child support payments and attempt to find every way out of it. They are not rednecks in the classic sense. They vote republican and talk as such or libertarian. However many of them cheat on their taxes and some are committing disability fraud. |

Child Support Payments can deduct from Disability but ONLY for arrears. Now if the CP is on disability they get an extra amount pulled from the ncp's social security. I will not defend criminal action, but will defend my original proposal to use the affirmative action laws to require companies to hire a court-ordered ncp. It works and allows everyone to win. |

This way every company has to hire an ncp if the excuse is 'I can't find work'. OP what you suggest is Forced Servitude or a State Slave. The main problem with the child support system at the time is that in 9 cases out of 10 the courts side with the woman and attempt to completely cut the father out of the childrens lives or make it as difficult as possible to participate. What needs to happen is to quit punishing the low income NCP who by paying that child support payment puts themselves well below poverty. This situation only causes the NCP to go into the underground economy. If both parents are paying for the childs expenses, both parents are a custodial and share parenting time. then there should be no money being paid either way as both parents are taking responsibility for the child. I read a statistic that said approxamately 70% of men paid child support before the creation of the Child Support Enforcement Agency. Now that we have a CSEA we are able to collect from approximately 70% of the fathers. seems they have made a good improvement in the red tape department. Kids having Kids and then going to the courts and stomping thier feet saying make that bastard pay me some money. |
