Texas Petition to Withdraw from the union | |
eucsstamticc (OP) User ID: 25786385 United States 11/10/2012 01:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't you find it ironic that many of the same people who whined about obama's reelection being the "death of America" are the same people who want to sign these petitions and kick-start the process? Quoting: The Myth Personally, if in fact it is going to be the death of America, then i would rather it be on the terms of the People, by the People, than that of a man who looks to turn our country to socialism, and may actually succeed.. I only say he may succeed because once you have half of the population (which he does, as we have seen from the election) on the proverbial government tit then you no longer have people voting for a a country where they can succeed and rise to the top.. instead you have a country of people with their hand out... expecting to be taken care of while the rest of the population works... then what happens as people slowly start to lose their passion to succeed.. now that number on the govt tit grows and grows.. pretty soon no one works, more than they have too, we live in a run down country..... wait... am I still talking about America..... hmmmmm where has this already happen... hmmm This is why Texans, like myself, are more than happy to help the process. Why should I, or anyone else for that matter, pay for someone who just doesn't want to push themselves.. If you don't try then you don't get anything... Infinity = Zero |

They said maybe the neighbouring states should get together to form one new body. Is this the start of the break-up of the United States? Probably not, but that may be the answer, d'you think? Let the Detroits pay for their own welfare checks. |

eucsstamticc (OP) User ID: 25786385 United States 11/10/2012 02:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Governor Perry, Please, take control of our state and secede. I do not have a lot time to write a long drawn out message because I am at work. I work offshore in the oil field, and I just finished my shift. I work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 weeks straight. Then I come home for 2 weeks, and then do it all over again. With President Obama running the country I am afraid there will not be much of a country left when he is done. If there is, then I fear the damage he will do will be irreversible. I work hard for the things that I have and enjoy my life. I do not mind working hard. Hard work and dedication pay off 100% of the time, I learned this very important aspect of life when I earned my Eagle Scout when I was 15 years old, and received it at the ceremonies of my high school, Marine Military Academy, in Harlingen, TX.. When I received my Eagle Scout I received flags that were flown over the capitol buildings of both the United States of America, and the Texas Capital Building. These flags represent bravery, and sacrifice made by few for the greater good. The blood that was spilled so these flags could fly high is imprinted in our heritage, and our lives.. as Americans, and as Texans. Our president will not even help his own ambassador, when he knows he is under attack. That Governor Perry is definitely not an American, and nor a Texan. If he will do this, turn a blind eye to his own envoy, then why should we expect nothing less towards us. I understand that a secession would require a huge amount of change within Texas, and I along with others, would be willing to accept these changes. Perhaps even more than I believe, and yourself included. I know that nothing can be done from a single piece of mail, or letter. However, as the Governor of our state, I ask that you at least look into the steps necessary to allow the people of your state to vote. It is time for Texans to be brave, and stand up for the greater good of our fellow Americans, and if they will not stand up beside us, and tell this president, "enough is enough" then we shall take care of ourselves, as this would be even more evident of a nation that is no longer unified. Please Governor Perry, consider my position, take care of your fellow Texans. XXXX XXXXXXXXX I replace my name with x's.. theres some people here on the lunatic fringe.. :) Infinity = Zero |
