I will personally smack the next neo con in real life in the face that I hear talk about how right wingers are so much more mature and civil that liberals. Wow, very mature and civil of you. lol right..because firing employees just for voting democrat and threatening to suceed from the union is the height of maturity and civility isn't it neo con wee tawd? :P You do hypocrisy well..as most neo cons do. |

WHAT a fucking MoRaN!!! . Nowhere did I say that Obamacare provides anything. I said it was an opening gambit to a long-term strategy of socializing US health care. Learn to read before attacking others for making sense. Of course, you being a liberal, your brain is impervious to facts and the truth, so not sure what learning to read would actually do for you. But you could always give it a go. |

The total fine would be $67,500 based on 57 workers. A whopping $20 per week per employee. Second, he's a loser if he has more than 50 employees and is only profiting $2k-$3k per worker. Third, there's many tax breaks for small businesses that provide health care as any legit CPA would tell you. Fourth, prices are going up and if he isn't raising prices, then that's his fault for not keeping up with the republican controlled federal reserve monetary policy of destroying the US dollar. Fifth, no competently-run company that provides a useful service will be going out of business. Sixth, your story is complete bullshit and full of inaccuracies. Seventh, I hope a semi crashes into you head on. someones got a brain ^^ this is a made up story...you suckers will believe anything. It's blatantly obvious that the owner of a business would have consulted accountants and lawyers before coming to the conclusions stated in the OP, so that shoots down those points. Trying to judge the company's performance based on net profit per employee is ridiculous. You need to know other aspects of the business's P&L and overall business plan, as well as details about their target market to make any sort of accurate assessment, so that point is gone. Competently-run businesses that provide useful services go out of business all the time due to external factors. Literally tens of thousands of businesses have said they will downsize, relocate or close because of Obamacare, and the press ran articles about a rash of company sales over the summer in anticipation of an Obama win. That point is wishful thinking that flies in the face of all the evidence, so that's done. Finally, the Federal Reserve was instituted by Wilson (Democrat/Progressive/Socialist) and has been overseen by a Democrat-controlled Congress for 5 years. We are now in a mode of perpetual QE to the tune of $40 billion/month and I don't remember any Republican Congressman, let alone any other party, from voting for that. Perhaps he has a brain, but using it to keep his ears from meeting in the middle is an option he should consider. The chickens of Obamacare are coming home to roost. Funny how liberals liked that concept when Jeremiah Wright used it to hate on America, but can't stand it when confronted with the consequences of their own idiotic notions. You voted for this. Suck it up. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19396116 Does there come a point where these stories will scare the Obama administration into seizing the businesses and assets of these people, to prevent economic terrorism? It seems to me that it's a clear set up. Shills come and post fake stories, until some schmuck actually losses his head and starts firing people based on who they voted for. Then to prevent the terroristic actions (and by definition they are that)from harming the economy, the government comes in, arrests the enemies of the people at the top and takes their businesses, to keep people employed. Yeah, it could happen. Probably won't, but you have to ask yourself, do you trust Obama enough to risk not just your business, but freedom, on a direct level? Worse, he could be a great guy and still end up backed into a corner by made up tales like this. Perma-pinned to help make certain you see it, even though it's almost certainly made up? |

He owned the business and the house before the marriage, outright. She hasn't been involved with the business at all and has worked her own job. That's why she is freaking out. She told me she signed the pre-nup because she wanted to be with him and wanted to live comfortable. We are all in Texas and the laws are pretty clear when all the property was owned by him before the marriage. She might get some cash but that's about it. He's aid they have about $15,000 in savings so she might get $7500. |

Your wife demonstrates that she doesn't give a rat's ass about something that is VERY harmful to you? Funny that you are calling others "fool". He is right, that is a very dumb reason to get a divorce. People get divorced because one spouse cheated or because they just fight so much they can't reconcile, not because one spouse didn't vote the way the other wanted her to vote. I mean what's up with this guy, he sounds like a control freak. And no need to fire people btw, he could instead cut their hours or hire them part-time, and then they wouldn't fall under Obama care. |

I can understand building and running a business, and then having to deal with a spouse who is flippant and uncaring about the same business that is putting food in her mouth and clothes on her back. I could not live with someone like that; I can see why it was the last straw for him. And I'm not a Romney or bama fan. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27553610 United Kingdom 11/12/2012 05:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First of all thank God they don't have kids. Quoting: Seeing both sides 14898437 My sister has always been an entitled sort of person, learned that from our parents. They spoiled us. I had the sense to figure out the real world isn't like that. She married a really good guy who owns a machine shop. He employs 57 people including office staff. He has made plans for a "what if" in case Obama was re-elected, he was pulling for Romney. Obama won and now he's at plan B, and he will have to let 8 people go before the end of the year to avoid the new Obamacare fines/taxes since his employees don't have insurance. Now before you hate on this man, understand that after paying all his employees, expenses, taxes, maintenance, and upkeep/new equipment he clears about $140,000 per year. Some years more, some less. In the last 10 years he says his actual pay/salary fluctuated between $80K and $190K depending on contracts and business. The cost of insuring his employees would be about $350,000 for a minimum basic plan. That would put him in the red even before himself taking a salary. He would have to close shop. If he paid the $2500 per employee fine that kicks in for employers with 50 or more employees, he would pay a fine/tax of $110,000. Meaning his expected take home salary/profit would be anywhere from a net loss of $30K to a positive salary of only $80K - the latter only if he has a banner year. He is unwilling to take a chance with his own livelihood and gas already informed his employees of the coming cuts - two office personnel, and six machinists. They are upset but they understand his reasoning. Even the handful of Obama supporters at his shop seemed to suddenly "get it" o cw the reality hit them, that they could lose THEIR job because of Obamacare. Which brings me to my sister. My bro-in-law has had conversations with me, and with her, about how Obamacare will quite literally hurt his business and/or his ability to grow the company. He found out that she voted for Obama when he overheard her talking to a friend about the election. At first he was nonchalant about it, and asked her why and she told him "well it's good that he wants to help people". After stewing over it a few days, he changed the locks while she was at work and put her stuff in a Uhaul truck. When she got home he had already had an attorney file divorce papers and since they had a pre-nup, she gets nothing. I am having a hard time because I can't really blame him, but I love my sister. Although I cannot understand for the life of me why she would vote in a way that was so contrary to her personal interests. Not sure what to think. even with a prenup she'll get half of what he earned when they were married unless she was working too in which case she'll get half of what the family earned why would she get half of what they both already spent? |
