Well, keep hope at peace in a world driven by war... either IDF will counter the rocket attacks from earlier before a ceasefire is declared or there will be no ceasefire. all reports of ceasefire are from arab sources. even the western/israeli news sources reporting from egyptian/palestinian sources. hamas is at their high point. there are reports the truce includes an end to targeted killings of hamas leaders, which is how this operation began. [link to www.ynetnews.com] The only cease fire agreement INCLUDES Hamas disarmament AND Israel's TOTAL (not in phases) lifting Gaza blockade. Does ANY of the two above can be achieved? YEP...but WHICH ONE FIRST? So you see...Hamas CANNOT disarm first (and tbh, who will disarm them - UN or Israel?) because they are afraid to do that.Blockade cannot be lifted first, because Hamas will get MORE rockets and arms thru egyptian Sinai...Egypt is under MB control. so...NO CEASE FIRE whatsoever.  |
