I really dont. I think shes just using the disability I was diagnosed with as a kid (which I dont believe I have so Im not using that as an excuse) as a reason to talk down to me. And its gotten worse since Ive gotten older even though I am more mature now than I was when I was a teenager.

My Mom has passed, God rest her soul, but she had one perspective/point of view and that was that.
It really is a weakness to not be able to respect another's
point of view. But sometimes when you are older and you have seen a lot of life and people's mistakes and consequences,
it is very difficult to watch your own not see what you do .
Another thing is that mothers know all your vulnerabilities.
Sometimes it is their way to toughen you up but sometimes it
is just abusive and you have to object and probably realize there is limits to the relationship.

How old are you? Do you still live at home? Do they pay for any of your living expenses? If so, she still does have a hold over you and you'll have to wean her gradually by acting more and more responsible for yourself. If you are totally on your own financially, you need to stand up for yourself and actually be a grown up.
