I would only worry if she tells you what a great and well written story it is... I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I read it and let me tell you my first thought was HTF did this steaming pile of crap become a best seller? My second thought was if I keep reading maybe it will get better ... no dice they didn't

If she likes books that seem like they were written by a high school drop out who was failing English with a weird twilight bondage fetish then you have a problem. It was repetitive, boring and childish.

(Spoiler Alert) I wanted to kick that bitches "Inner Goddess" right in the cooch and every time she bit her lip, rolled her eyes or said "Oh My" I wanted wretch. I wrote that as a spoiler alert because that is a lot of the book consisted of.

If she wants to read something raunchy and well written I'd suggest the Sleeping Beauty series by Anne Rice

Tie her up, slap her around a little, make her wait outside the bedroom naked for awhile and then ass rape her. She will like it.

Only if she finishes it. My wife read it. Then she started moving over to my side of the bed. I got up, went to her side, crawled in and went back to sleep.

I told her that when she decided to start hanging from the ceiling fan, not to turn it on because I wasn't cleaning up the mess.

HaHa! So this! The "oh my" was too much for me. Nothing wrong with BDSM but this book was BS. Written by someone who thinks they know.

I have no words to describe how much of a douchebag the guy is. How sooo many women are now wanting Chiristin Gray is beyond me.

On the positive side for you OP wait a couple of days and you'll be getting laid for sure!

Re: My wife is reading 50 Shades of Gray. Your thoughts...
I personally found the story line cheesy and horribly written. I also found after being married for so many years that my hubby and me already did a lot of kinky crap, but I guess we are perverted that way.

I guess most housewives really are boring in the bedroom and instead of having really good communication with their better half, so both get off to their own "kinky fuckery", they have to resort to this series of books to give them ideas.

Being open with your partner, feeling comfortable telling your partner what you like and how you like it is the winner here.

I agree with you here 100%. And I'm a girl. This book is a bunch of crap. I felt exactly the same way about her inner goddess. The author uses that liberally throughout the book. It seems to be her only literary device, if I can even use the word "literary" to refer to this book. It is definitely not. She seems to have some sort of Ally McBeal hangover as well. The character's inner goddess is always dancing the salsa or doing cartwheels or being this or being that. Highly irritating.

I also felt the same way about the "oh my". Makes the character seem like an old bag lady. Very unsexy.

I have no idea how this book got into the bestseller list as well. Reads like fan fiction of the most horrible, cheapest and most amateurish variety. The fact that it became a bestseller does not bode well for the direction of the human race. There are a lot of good erotic stories and novels out there for women, so I don't get what the fuss is all about with this one.

But then again I also don't get what the fuss was about Harry Potter. I couldn't get involved with that character -- too dry and boring for me. So many great fantasy books out there. Why did this one hit it big? Go figure.

And the Hunger Games -- don't ever fall for the hype. I also tried that one out just to know what the fuss was all about and I deeply regretted it. Load of crap of the most horrible kind.

End of rant.

Yes. Maybe your life will become exciting. Before you get all upset, many BDSM slaves say "my life is like a 1950s housewife". I'm not for true forced domination, but if someone wants to take the submissive role, good for them. Much easier than two fighting to be alpha.
