When I was 20, I married a 35 year old - it was pretty rough - only lasted 5 months. I was too young and wild and free and immature at the time, and I think he just fell for me because of that, but then realized he didn't want to deal with it every day. This was 25 years ago, so definitely not a problem now. But, as I got older, I also was on the receiving end of plenty of younger men wanting relationships, and I'm conservative, so it wasn't just a sex thing. I found that the age gap just left me feeling like I was babysitting, especially if you get someone who is not mature, or set in life, or on solid ground and already getting their career going. It can work out, in some cases, but being at different stages in life with the person you share your life with can become a big challenge, especially as your interactions with his friends and family increase - they may disapprove (and sometimes with good reason for concern) and it may not be the happily ever after. A lot of men love to have a hot young thing on their arm, but they will grow old much faster than you, the age difference will speed up over time and you may end up with someone you cannot share as many things with as you hope.

Oh, I disagree about older man having a "hot, young thing on their arm," and then growing older much faster. You see, women actually AGE FASTER than men...period. Their looks are only good for a finite period...and most women lose their appealing looks right at 30.

Women have a MUCH HARDER TIME dating under their age than men do for a variety of reasons. I'm not going to list those reasons because they may actually hurt feelings.
