The shit you asshats post is utterly idiotic.

I cared about hungry children the first 65 years I was alive. Then I realized the first children I donated to we're in their 40's and had made many more children. And their children made more children. So, I don't donate to causes concerning children anymore.

Well i know a guy who rents his pets.
And, when he grows bored, tosses the pet in the trash.

Mass spay and neuter; this would also be beneficial for some humans. If you can't feed them you can't have them.

I agree but I have also seen threads on here about depopulation and others about people being made to get sterilized and everybody has a fit. This is one fucked up world we live in. Its ass backwards. If people can't understand that there is too much of everything on this planet. Cows. Dogs. Cats and people then their just plain incredibily stupid. We can't keep this up much longer. They say by 2020 which is only 8 years away that were shit out of luck and resources especially when you throw in all the crazy weather. Floods. Crop destruction and alike. People need to get with the program. Agenda 21 has some good elements in it. Why do you think they are even having those types of conversations with the world leaders. The more I am on these boards listening to all the cry babies that think they are being controlled and boo hoo. There is a reason for it because the masses can't control themselves and pull it together long enough to have an intelligent conversation about anything. People are fucking stupid.

There are homeless from the time we bread them to become our pet.

They are homeless from the time u think you OWN one.

There are homeless when we remove them from they natural location.

All this is for you to create a emotional experience so some other will nourish from.

I would have adopted one from a shelter but they wanted to visit my house to make sure it was suitable. Give me a break, they acted like it was a freakin newborn baby. I went to the pet shop instead.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22462700

Hello. They want to make sure the dog doesn't end up coming back. People are liers and some are really stupid when it comes to dogs and pets. I have seen and met some people with pets and you look at whats going on and wonder how they even make it through life. I'm not kidding. You are a babby for not consenting to it and you probably had somthing to hide in the process. People lie about having fenced yards and proper shelters and what they think is just OK usually isn't. I have seen dogs stuffed into Kennels that they could not even turn around in all day because the owners worked all day and did not want to come home to a mess. Then when they do come home their dogs are in a frenzy with freedom and they will call me to fix their dogs because they say they are Hyper. I hate fucking people and most dog owners are idiots. Maybe 10% percent of people actually get it right with balance. Good surroundings and exercise and training. The rest of the mass idiots out there are just that. IDIOTS.

Our dogs are our 4 legged kids...and like my 2 legged kids they will eat before we do... they are the most loyal, loving kids any one could have... they weigh 20 lbs each and we have supplies for them just like we do for us.
Anything else would not be thinkable.
 Quoting: my2centsworth

That's how I feel about MY 4-legged "kids" too. I have never "bought" a pet (other than fish!), they seem to just come to me when it's time. This past summer I had 2 cats pass (one was 19, the other one I'd had for a couple of years, he came to me sick and ragged and hungry with only 2 teeth, but whatever he'd gone through before we met I hope that the last couple of years of his life made up for that) and had to put down a goat who was 20 or 21 who had come to me at about age 4) so there will be fewer stockings hung for Santa to fill this year. But when the Universe decides that another little guy needs a home, he or she will be sent here to be welcomed and loved. And I, too, have stocked up on cat and dog food, at least enough to last for a few months.....

Re: Over 7 million homeless pets a year, and we still BUY pets?!
It's not the fault of the people who choose to purchase pets that there are homeless pets. The reason there are homeless pets is because of the irresponsible fuckers who allow their Petsamo become homeless. Be responsible and get your pets fixed. Problem solved.

Just as it is not the infertile couples of the world responsibility to adopt all the unwanted kids in the world it not the responsibility of the people who choose to purchase pets to take in all the unwanted pets in the world.

Put blame where blame is due. On the irresponsible fuckers who made their pets homeless in the first place and the losers who popped out unplanned kids they didn't want.

I am allergic to animal dander. That means cats are off limits to me as well as most dog breeds. Because of that I can only have a few dog breeds as a pet. People claim that pure breeds end to in shelters but pure breeds are snatched up first from shelters. Another issue with adopting a shelter "pure breed" is that unless to dog was dropped off by the owner and the owner took the time to fill out paperwork on the history of the dog there is no way to know for sure that the shelter dog really is a pure bred. And even if the owner does fill out paper work there is no guarantee that they won't lie. One ounce of any breed other than the "hypoallergenic" breeds and I can't have them in my house. If that turned out to be the case the dog would have to go back to the shelter. No thanks. I'll keep buying from a breeder when I get a new dog (which isn't often, I bought my current dog as a puppy from a breeder in 2004) so I know exactly what I'm getting.

Actually, caring for the way our nation treats animals directly effects our "starving children." We spend 70% of our grain to feed animals for meat consumption. Makes sense.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2854823

Ahhhh, it becomes clear, once again, clothed with concerns for homeless pets, thus breeders are bad people, it comes around to the real agenda: banning domestic ownership of animals of all kinds. You won't be able to own any animal, let alone raise animals for eating. You can be their guardian, though. You "Animal Rights" people are becoming more and more transparent in your every deception.

I have taken in many pets over the years and truthfully speaking it is a difficult process in the liberal northeast who insists that they need to inspect your home before considering you to adopt a cat or dog.

After we lost one dog to the infirmities of old age, we went to the local shelter and in spite of the fact, we could provide veterinarian backup from two states they still wanted to inspect our home.

When my husband asked when we could inspect their home, we were escorted out of the shelter by security so we went to a private breeder for a dog. When the adult dog we rescued and had for over 15 died, we went through the same nonsense so again we went to a private breeder.

When we lived in the Midwest, we adopted elderly abused dogs and a kitten and puppy from the local shelter without problems.

Thus if the morons on the east and west coasts stopped to think that their socialist compulsion to control people needs to stop so that more animals may be adopted.
