Anonymous Coward User ID: 28744097 United States 11/29/2012 07:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Lived in Sacramento, CA, during this storm! It was wild! Wind was blowing so hard up the Sacramento River west of the Sac Int Airport that it was causing 4 to 6 foot waves to go up the river! Lots of damage to the levees. Sac Int Airport would have been completely underwater had any of the levees around it failed. |

Jackson County in southwest Oregon... this includes the cities of... Medford... Ashland... Central Point... White City... Phoenix... Talent... Shady Cove... and Jacksonville * until 530 PM PST * at 1133 am PST the Oregon Department of Transportation reported substantial water on southbound Interstate five in the Medford area. With additional moderate to heavy rainfall expected through early this evening additional Urban and Small Stream flooding is expected. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Additional rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch and a half are possible in this area. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Do not underestimate the power of flood waters. Only a few inches of rapidly flowing water can quickly carry away your vehicle. "Well-behaved women seldom make history." —Laurel Thatcher Ulrich I am only one, but I am one.
